Pre-paid SIM card for Jordan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Dulaney]John Dulaney The desert Kingdom of Jordan, officially known as Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, came into existence during post-World War I, when the Middle East was divided by Britain and France. The Kingdom has Israel and the Dead Sea on its western border, Syria on the north, Iraq on the east, with Saudi Arabia on the South. It is a small country and has few natural resources and has played a major role in the struggle to gain power in the Middle East. It has a population of 5.7 million as per the U.N. census held in the year 2005. Jordan is very much associated with old biblical stories and it is a country which should be crowding with tourists, but for the reason of the several terrorist activities in different parts of the world, the tourists have stayed away from Jordan. However, Jordan by itself is a very peaceful country. It is one of the most passionate countries in the world, welcoming its guests and offering warm hospitality to its visitors. You could leave your belongings on the street and come back to find them at the same place where you left them. Jordan, formerly known as Transjordan, was taken from the Turks by the British in World War I, was separated from the Palestine mandate in 1920. In 1921, the country was placed under the rule of Abdullah ibn Hussein. King Abdullah ibn Hussein was executed in 1951 and his son Talal, who was mentally ill, was removed the very next year and Talal's son, Hussein, born on Nov. 14, 1935, succeeded him. When Hussein came to be the King, he had to be very diplomatic in dealing with his powerful neighbours with Israel in the west, and the rising Arab nationalism. These were the frequent threat to his Kingdom. When King Hussein joined the Central treaty in 1955, trouble broke out in Jordan. It worsened when the King was made to put his army under normal command of the United Arab Republic of Egypt and Syria, when Britain, France, and Israel attacked the Suez Canal in 1956. Jordan was drawn into the Arab-Israeli War in 1967 and it lost East Jerusalem and all of its territory west of the Jordan River, the West Bank. During the Persian Gulf War, Jordan took a stern stand which strained its relation with the United States, when the U.S. stopped its aid to Jordan. With the open warfare that broke out between the Palestinians and government forces in 1970, Jordan's Bedouin army defeated the Palestinians even with the intervention of the Syrian tanks. At this time the Jordan army drove out about 12,000 Iraqi troops, who have been in Jordan since the war in 1967. A peace agreement was signed between Jordan and Israel in July 1944, which ended the hostility of both the countries. With this agreement between Jordan and Israel, the friendship with the United States, and with the moderate Arab states, including Saudi Arabia, was re-established. In 1997, Jordan became very active in attracting foreign investment and began to negotiate with the United States for membership with the World Trade Organisation. In January, 1999, King Hussein suddenly deposed his brother, Prince Hassan, who was the heir apparent for the last 34 years. King Hussein died of cancer one month after and 37 year old Abdullah became the king. Abdullah had been a military leader with little political experience. After the West Bank was taken by the Israelis in 1967, Jordan's industrial production declined by 20%. There were small and domestic industries in the West Bank, manufacturing soap, cigarettes and olive oil. The main industrial areas are situated on the east bank. Jordan's industrial growth was very rapid since the early part of 1960's, despite the problems faced by the war in 1967. Major industries in Jordan include, oil refining, cement production, phosphates and hydroelectric power. There were rapid growth of local and foreign-owned other industries, such as, food processing, textiles, pharmaceutical goods, paper, sugar and glass making. Almost half of the agricultural land in Jordan is on the West Bank and the country was hard hit on its agricultural produce after the war in 1967, when Israel occupied the place. Prior to the war, the West Bank produced 25% of Jordan's grain, 40% of the vegetables and 70% of the fruit. Jordan has now only a 5% of its land available for agriculture, which heavily depends upon the rainfall in that area. The workforce declined from 37% in 1965 to 7% in 1987. You will find fine restaurants in most of the Jordanian towns and cities, offering a wide selection of exquisite Arabic food at reasonable prices. The national dish is called mansaf, which is a whole stewed lamb, cooked with Yoghurt and served on a bed of rice. There are several such others. You can get meat, fish or vegetable stew served on a plate of rice and also chicken cooked and served the same way. The other popular dish is the famous Middle Eastern shish kebab, which is a chunk of meat or marinated chicken pierced through with a wooden stick and cooked in charcoal fire along with onions and tomatoes. Known as Rabbath Ammon during the biblical time, Aman is the capital city of Jordan. It is now a thriving modern city in Jordan. Aman was first built on a group of 7 hills, but now the city stretches much beyond. You get a wonderful view of the city from the top of the Citadel Hill, and you can thee the Roman amphitheater in the valley below. On the far horizon, you can see the black and white Abu Darwish mosque a top of Jebel Ashrafiah. You will find the site of the ruins of the Temple of Hercules when you visit the Citadel Hill. You will also see the ruins of the Roman walls and an Arab castle, dating back to the 7th century. Citadel Hill is by itself an Archaeological Museum, housing the antiquities which date from prehistoric times, right through to the 15th century. The Roman amphitheater, which seated 6,000 people, is an impressive sight. It has a museum on each side. As you go up to the summit of this pine-forested hill, approaching a steep incline, you will find the Martyrs' Memorial, which is a tribute to the armed forces of Jordan, who gave their lives in the service of the Kingdom. A collection of Islamic art, gathered from the prominent Arab and Islamic artists, are displayed in the Jordan National Gallery. Jordans archaeological treasures could be seen in the Museum of Archaeology at the University of Jordan. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on this Earth, lying 1,306ft below sea level and is 34 miles from Aman. The area is void of any life due to the high content of salt and minerals. The content of sulphur, zinc oxide and magnesium carbonate in the waters of the Dead Sea provide the famous curative powers, first recognised by Herod the Great over two thousand years ago. It is believed that the warm waters of the Dead Sea cures people with arthritis and circulatory problems. The waters of the Dead Sea are thick, briny water and are 4 times as salty as the sea water. The mineral contents of the Dead Sea are considered to be good for the skin. If you are travelling to Jordan, you will be taking your cell phone with you. You will need to get in touch with your business associates and friends and also with your family back home. You will need to be available to the people who want to get in touch with you.
During the time when mobile communication was not available, you had no option but to use the telephone in your hotel room to make your necessary phone calls. You paid heavily on those call charges. With the appearance of mobile telephony you had taken your cell phone with you when you visited countries abroad. You had your cell phone on roaming. You paid roaming charges on your incoming and outgoing calls and had received very high billing at the end of the month. The roaming feature in your cell phone is a facility that is provided by your home service provider. With such a facility you can carry the same mobile that you have, to the countries that you visit and be in touch with the people. In providing you with this facility, your service provider has entered into a business contract with the operator of the country you are visiting. This agreement allows you to use the services of the foreign network operator while you are in that country. Each time you use your cell phone, while you are visiting Jordan, you are utilising the services of the foreign operator and your home operator pays the foreign operator for such services. Therefore, you are charged extra when-ever you take your cell phone on roaming. When you buy a pre-paid SIM card for Jordan, you save up to 80% of your phone call expenses. With a pre-paid SIM card for Jordan, you get a local number and your calls are charged at the local rates. All your incoming calls are free of charge, no matter where they generate from and you do not pay for roaming. You do not have to enter into any contract with any service provider and you do not receive any bill at the end of the month. When you buy a pre-paid SIM card for Jordan, you receive with it a small talk time credit. This credit allows you to make and receive calls as soon as you reach your destination in Jordan. In order to replenish your talk time credit, you can buy recharge coupons or vouchers from practically any shop in Jordan. These vouchers are available in different denominations and you may buy the value of credit required by you. Since you pre-pay your call charges, you are always aware of the expenses that you are incurring for your mobile use. This helps you to maintain the budget that you have set for such expenditures. For more information and prices of a pre-paid SIM card for Jordan, visit www.planetomni.com/FAQ_sim.shtml What is a SIM card? A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is a printed circuit board, a little smaller than a postage stamp. It goes into a slot at the back of your cell phone, which is visible as you take off the back cover. It is a smart card that renders your cell phone intelligent. A SIM card has a microprocessor circuit along with memories. It holds your unique information, such as, your identity, your service plan, your SIM card number, the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of your cell phone and other security details. As you switch on your cell phone, this information is transmitted to the relevant network of the service provider of the city that you are visiting. This is checked with the information available in the database and matched. On match, your cell phone gets logged into the network and you are now ready to use your phone. The SIM card also holds your address book, where you may store the names and telephone numbers of the people you frequently call. It also logs your incoming and outgoing call numbers and also the incoming calls which you fail to answer. These calls are logged along with their relevant time and date. You would require a GSM cell phone when you visit Jordan. If you have a GSM phone, it is very likely that it will not operate in that country, unless you have a multi-frequency cell phone with you. The networks in Jordan operate on 900MHz and 1800MHz GSM frequency bands, where-as, networks in North America, Canada and a few countries in the Americas operate on 850MHz and 1900 MHz GSM frequency bands. Therefore, with the mismatch of your cell phone frequency bands with that of the networks in Jordan, your GSM phone will not work in that country. . The world over, use different GSM frequency bands compared to the ones used in North America, Canada and few of the neighbouring countries, and in effect this what sets a part these countries from the rest of the world. In taking your GSM mobile cell phone to Jordan, you must ensure before hand, that your phone is SIM unlocked. If it is SIM locked, you will not be able to use your pre-paid SIM card or any other SIM card for that matter. It would only work with a SIM card which is meant for that cell phone. As an example, consider that you have signed a contract with a certain service provider. One of the clauses in that contract stipulated that you will be required to use the specific service for a definite period of time, which could be one year. After you signed the contract, you would have received from your service provider, a cell phone, absolutely free of any cost to you, and the SIM card. The phone that you have received is SIM locked. This has been specifically done to bar you from using any other SIM card other than the one that you received from your service provider. After the contract period is over, your service provider helps you to SIM unlock your phone, when you are at liberty to use any SIM card of your choice. Therefore, it is essential that you check and make sure that the cell phone that you are taking is SIM unlocked. This you must do before you leave for Jordan. Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) is an open structured digital mobile telephony technology, developed in Europe. It is the second generation (2G) system, replacing the old analog first generation (1G) technology. GSM is being used in over 214 countries in the world and has 80% subscribers amongst the total mobile users. It has four sets of frequency bands, 850 MHz, 900 MHz, and 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz, which are distributed to the different GSM regions. Some of the bandwidths are commonly used by the regions, with the exception that the networks in North America, Canada and few other neighbouring countries use 850MHz and 1900MHz GSM bandwidths, which are not used by majority of the GSM countries. The major advantage in using GSM technology is that you have the facility to get in touch with people from about anywhere in this planet. GSM cell phones are available in multiple frequency bands. The Quad-band is compatible with all the GSM frequency bands and can be operated in any GSM region in the world. The Tri-band works on 800MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz frequency bands, and operates in most part of the GSM regions. There is the Dual-band, having compatibility with two of the GSM frequency bands - 800MHz and 1900MHz. If you are a frequent traveller to countries abroad, you may consider buying an appropriate cell phone with compatible frequency bands with the ones in the countries that you visit. If you are not travelling abroad frequently, it is economical for you to rent such a phone and take it with you. Whether you take your GSM phone, buy or rent one, there are two things which you must take care of. The first one being to ensure that the cell phone is not SIM locked and the second, that it has the compatible frequency band as required by the networks in Jordan. For more information on renting or buying a cell phone, visit www.planetomni.com/FAQ_gsm.shtml A pre-paid SIM card for Jordan is not only affordable but a great saving too. You dont pay for the incoming calls or for roaming. You get a local number and you are charged at local rates. Since it is pre-paid, you can keep a track on the expenses that you are incurring on your calls and can this helps you to remain within your budget. Cell phone use overseas. In 99% of the world the local cellular service standard is called GSM. We use this in the states as well. When combined with a SIM CARD (which usually goes under the battery of the phone) the phone is able to communicate and the SIM CARD also holds the telephone number and memory for pre-paid credit. Rates can be extremely low using this system. For example in 99% of all SIM CARDS incoming calls are free and calls to the states can cost a trifle. Such as, from the UK to the USA 7 cents/minute, from Israel 22 cents, from Australia 27 cents. Yes, USA Dollar cents! Student Loan How To Reduce Your Payments Through Refinancing

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dean_Shainin]Dean Shainin There are a variety of student loan repayment plans to suit different needs and financial situations, with many lenders offering a wide range of repayment options. The repayment plan that you can get will depend on the different types of loans you have, your financial circumstances and also what your needs are. If you have bank or government-issued federal student loans you have the option to choose from several repayment plans designed to make your servicing your student debt more manageable. While federal student loans have more repayment options, private loans, made without federal funds, have fewer repayment options. The main advantage of consolidating your loan is that you combine your different loans into one loan and one monthly repayment. This is not only cheaper, it is also more convenient. In order to achieve their carrier goals, most students who are not able to pay their own college fees get student loans. Due to high college fees, by the time one finishes their studies; one can have a huge student loan debt. A huge total student loan that is being repaid to several lenders at different interest rates can impact on ones financial flexibility once they finish college. The main goal of refinancing is to reduce your monthly repayments and giving an easier to manage single monthly payment. By refinancing your student loan, you are able to get a lower interest rate which enables you to make a lot of savings in the long term. If you are considering refinancing your student loans, what 3 key factors must you consider? 1. If you have two kinds of loans, make sure to refinance them separately. It is also advisable that you refinance your federal student loan first, before any other private loans. By doing this you will be able to enjoy the benefits of the low interest rate of federal loans. If you mix both loans together when refinancing, you will get a higher interest rate on the combined account. 2. Your credit history and the deal you can get with your lender will determine the rate you will get for your refinanced loan. It is therefore important your credit history be good before refinancing your student loans. 3. It is important that you research on several lenders and compare rates before you select the best refinancing deal for you. Lender facilities have different qualifications and criteria required for refinancing student loans. The majority of these lenders require you to be a graduate or out of school. So what are the two approaches in reducing your student loan total payments through refinancing? 1. You can reduce your monthly payments by extending the duration of your loan or asking for a lower interest rate. It is advisable that you get a lower interest rate because this will reduce the long-term debt of your student loan. 2. By extending the duration of your student loan, your monthly payments would be smaller. However, obtaining longer terms, the interest rates would be higher and you end up paying more. Nonetheless, this method allows you to manage your balance. While choosing the most suitable student loan refinancing program, you must ensure that the interest rate of your refinanced loan does not exceed the current consolidation rate of your loan. It is important that you do your research and compare different options and interest rates offered by different lenders. Dean Shainin is a consultant specializing in student loan consolidation. Planning Family Reunion Activities Everyone Will Enjoy

By Marcus Angelo The joys of having a family reunion is feeling closer while giving support. Getting youth involved in family reunion activities is often difficult as many of the activities remind them of thier preteen years. How can you get your teens and young adults more involved? Here are a few proven tips that work. The first thing to keep in mind is that most young ones in the 15- 25 age group prefer activities that are both mentally and physically challenging. This is why when asked what activity they like you're likely to to get something like rock climbing, skate boarding, surfing, dirt bike stunts, race car derby or action adventure related like theme park rides and such. So unless your having a part of your family reunion event at a theme park or cruise line you may find it a bit challenging getting them all involved. But getting everyone involved is the essential purpose of reuniting the family. That said include your youth in the early planning stages of family reunion activities and games. Why not leave it to the young ones to think of activities they would like to participate in. Once the activities are selected allow the young one to direct or host the event while the adults focus on safety and order. Regarding family oriented games, your best bet is to put the outgoing youth in the forefront of the games while those less so work as assistance or essential technicians. You may even want to ask them which games they would like to feature at your event. Family Reunion Olympics Assemble games and sports events for different age groups as well as mixed age teams. Each team selects its name/country/symbol and design their own banner. No doubt whent it's time to let the games begin immediate family members will be devoutly cheering on. It's a lot of fun. Jigsaw Puzzle Race Other young adult activities that challenge the intellect and reflex are the family portrait jig-saw puzzle challenge. Using previous years family reunion photos create two card table sized jigsaw puzzles from the photos. Select several family members for each team to assemble the puzzles on their table. The puzzle could have a well known fact, slogan or metaphor unique to the family printed on it before cutting. The first team to assemble the puzzle enough to guess the phrase wins. Reunion Game Survivor This game draws from the Survivor TV show. It will capture the attention of everyone. Remember to keep it healthy and not too gross. The "Amazing Race" Television style family reunion version of the Amazing Race is sure to be the height of excitment. Have the several families compete to complete a 2-3 mile relay race with several stops in between providing destination clues along the way. Cover the race with your live web cam wired to a big screen TV for spectator coverage. Make the race a one hour event. The family that wins gets a gift certificate to a theme park or restuarant. Other fun activities young adults would enjoy are "American Idol", "Dancing with the Stars" and a Stand Up Comedy talent show. Outside the norm of bean bag racing and egg hunts lies a world gaming fun young adults are sure to enjoy and remember for a very long time. Dating Red Flag #9: Mistreats People in Social Situations

By Alan Stafford A common dating problem, and a major warning sign, is when your partner acts one way with you, but behaves very differently around others. Example situation John and Mary have been dating for some time now. They like each other a lot, but there is something wrong. Mary is always nice, gentle and forgiving whenever shes alone with John. In public, however, she argues with everyone else. Shes always dismissive with waiters when she and John are on dates; shes hostile with other drivers when shes behind the wheel; and, shes contemptuous of people she regards as her inferiors. Shes very unpleasant, to say the least, to everyone. Everyone but John. Why is this is a dating problem for John? After all, Mary is a pussycat with him. You might think that John has just managed to tame the beast in her. Maybe they really can live together and have a wonderful long-time relationship. You could think that, but time after time youd be wrong. What does this behavior mean for the relationship? Dating a person like Mary is like living with Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Your partner is polite and considerate towards you, but he's hostile and aggressive at the football game. Or he waves vulgarities at other drivers. Or, he belittles wait staff for even the slightest goof. It seems as if there are two people in one body. Unfortunately, the good half of the person never overcomes the bad half. The dating problems you are experiencing are only the beginning. What is a little annoyance on a date can be a real problem when you become a long term couple. Wonderful at first, terrible later Your partners underlying personality is probably angry, hostile, and condescending. He's just on his best behavior to win you over. He's a phony. If you dont end this relationship, sooner or later your partner won't need to impress you anymore. As the two of you become more like family, he will treat you just as poorly as he does everyone else. Your dating problems with your partners yelling at the waiter will soon evolve into your partners yelling at you. You don't have to put up with that. Rudeness to others will become rudeness to you. Its more than a dating problem. You should recognize this as a dating red flag and keep looking. How he treats friends, family, and even strangers, is how he will eventually treat you. Throw this fish back and keep trolling. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Think Right, And Lose Weight Now

By Roy Miller What's the most important step toward losing weight? No, it's not what you eat, although that's important. No, it's not exercising, although that's a critical component of your plan. No, it's not the system you buy, although a system can be tremendously helpful. The most important step is deciding to lose weight. Most people never do that. They wish they could lose weight, or they long to lose weight, or they're angry about being fat, or they get mad about not being able to lose weight. But they never make a firm commitment to achieving a reasonable target weight. Any major life achievement begins with a decision (if it happens by accident, did you really achieve anything?) You have to decide to be thin. You know you've really decided when you don't quit. If you quit, you never really committed in the first place. That might be hard to hear, but it's the truth. Suppose your most cherished person in the world was trapped in a burning building. Nobody else is around. You save this person, or this person burns to death, and you'll hear the screaming. Are you going in to save that person? You bet, and you'll come out with that person or die trying. That, my friend, is commitment. If you're not deathly committed to your weight loss goals, you won't achieve them. Basic Gardening - Planting Bare Roots

By Jonathan Johnson Bare root plants are easy to handle. They are usually dormant perennials, shrubs, or trees that have been harvested from the field, have had the soil washed from their roots and then have been stored in refrigeration for later shipment. "Bare rooting" a plant is a safe, proven, and much used means of storing and shipping many garden plants. At Cottage Farms we always recommend that you plant bare root plants as soon as possible, but you can hold them in a refrigerator, unheated garage, or cellar for a short period if necessary. The best time of year for planting bare root plants in the garden is during the winter (if the soil is not frozen) or spring. The arrival of warmer temperatures and longer days cause the plants to wake up naturally from their winter dormancy and help insure gardening success. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daylilies: Cottage Farms suggests choosing a garden area that will receive at least four hours of direct sun each day. Spade or roto-till the intended flower bed to a depth of at least 8-10 inches. If you do not have good garden soil, you may want to blend in a generous portion of dehydrated manure, compost, peat moss, or shredded leaves, but daylilies are one of the easiest to grow and most forgiving plants in any garden. Dig holes at least twice as wide and deep as the bare root divisions. Fashion a small cone-shaped mound of dirt in the center of the hole below ground level. Spread the roots over the mound with no more than 1" of soil covering the crown (where the leaves and roots meet). For daylilies with emerging green growth plant any new growth above ground level. Firm the soil around the crown of the plant. Cottage Farms always recommends mulching immediately since mulch shades and cools the soil, helps prevent weeds and provides organic matter for the soil. Water your plants thoroughly after mulching. Daylilies grow best with at least 1-inch of rain (or equivalent watering) each week, but are quite drought tolerant. As soon as new growth emerges begin fertilizing every two weeks with Cottage Farms "Carefree Bud-N-Bloom Booster" throughout the growing season. This will help ensure maximum flowering and root development. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trees and Shrubs: First, look the plant over and remove (prune) any broken or damaged limbs or roots. Cottage Farms recommends soaking the roots of the tree or shrub in a bucket of water for 2 to 3 hours prior to planting. When ready for planting, select a site suitable for the plant and dig a hole larger than the roots are wide when they are spread out. If you are planting in poor or clay soils, you may want to mix compost, dehydrated manure, peat moss or shredded leaves with you excavated soil (if you do so, you may have extra soil when you complete the planting - remove excess soil, never pile it against the stem or plant too deep) . In the bottom of the hole form a cone shaped mound of soil. Place the plant's roots over the mound of soil and spread them evenly around the mound. Before filling the hole with soil make sure the trees existing soil line will be even with the new ground level. Begin filling the hole with soil, carefully firming the soil around the roots, leaving no air pockets. When the hole is approximately full of soil fill the hole with water and let it soak in. Once the water has soaked in make sure the tree is standing straight and finish filling the hole with soil. Form a saucer shaped rim around the outside of the hole. This will allow water to stay within the planting area. To assist a tree or tall shrub in getting anchored, you may want to stake it. As always, Cottage Farms suggests a 2-4-inch layer of mulch around the planting area to promote moisture retention, maintain even soil temperatures, and to discourage weed growth. Water the new transplant generously once every week throughout its first growing season. In later years, at least 1-inch of rain or watering equivalent per week is recommended for most soils. As soon as new growth emerges begin fertilizing every two weeks with Cottage Farms "Carefree Bud-N-Bloom Booster" throughout the growing season. This will help ensure maximum flowering and root development. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roses: Prior to planting remove (prune off) any broken roots or canes. Cottage Farms suggests soaking the entire rose plant (roots and canes) for at least 1-2 hours in luke-warm water. Select a location that receives at least four hours of sun each day. Spade or roto-till the intended rose bed to a depth of 12-15 inches. Unless you have good garden soil, Cottage Farms suggest you blend in a generous portion of dehydrated manure, compost, peat moss, or shredded leaves. This will help improve drainage and aeration. Dig a hole at least twice as wide and deep as the bare roots. Partially fill the hole with the soil mix, making a cone shaped mound in the center of the hole over which to drape the roots. Adjust the height of the mound so the graft union is at the correct level. In warmer climates a rose should be planted so the bud union (a bulge on the stem of the rose plant indicating where the rose plant has been grafted onto the roots) is at or slightly above ground level. In colder climates, the union may be planted up to 2" below ground level to help reduce the chance for winter die-back. Spread the roots out evenly over the cone shaped mound. Holding the rose at the correct planting depth, fill the hole with soil, working it carefully around the roots. When the hole is approximately full of soil, fill the hole with water and let it soak in. Once the water has soaked into the soil, make sure the rose is standing straight up and finish filling the hole. Form a saucer shaped rim around the outside of the hole. This will allow water to stay within the planting area. Cottage Farms always suggests a 2-4-inch layer of mulch around the planting area to promote moisture retention, maintain even soil temperatures, and to discourage weed growth. Roses require at least 1-inch of rain (or equivalent watering) each week. As soon as new growth emerges begin fertilizing every two weeks with Cottage Farms "Carefree Bud-N-Bloom Rose Booster" throughout the growing season. This will help ensure maximum flowering and root development. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Irises and other Rhizomes: Select a good location for the plants being planted in your garden. Irises do well in full sun or partial shade. Spade or roto-till the intended flower bed to a depth of 8-10-inches. If your garden soil poor or is a heavy clay, Cottage Farms suggest you blend in a generous portion of dehydrated manure, compost, peat moss, or shredded leaves into the soil. Dig holes at least twice as wide and deep as the rhizome. Fashion a cone shaped mound of soil in the center of the hole below ground level. Spread the roots over the mound with the top of the rhizome at ground level or slightly exposed. A common mistake is planting Iris rhizomes to deep. Firm in the soil around the rhizome with your fingers and water thoroughly. Cottage Farms always suggests a 2-4-inch layer of mulch around the planting area to promote moisture retention, maintain even soil temperatures, and to discourage weed growth. Iris perform best with at least 1-inch of rain (or equivalent watering) each week. As soon as new growth emerges begin fertilizing every two weeks with Cottage Farms "Carefree Bud-N-Bloom Booster" throughout the growing season. This will ensure maximum flowering and root development. Cottage Farms Direct

You Have More Chances To Win When Your Lemon law Attorney Claims The Compensation

By Kevin Bishop Lemon law is a state law of the United States, whereby the Government protects the right of the consumers who are deceived with a defective piece of automobile that is still under its warranty period. Lemon law differs from one state to another and like all other legal matters; there are people with specialization in this field who are called Lemon law attorneys. A lemon law attorney will fight your case against the automobile manufacturer / dealer and will help you to receive proper compensation. The role of the lemon law attorney Every defective piece of automobile may not come under lemon law and hence before filing any kind of case, it is wise to ascertain with the help of your lemon law attorney, whether your vehicle can be regarded as a "lemon" or not. In spite of varying versions of lemon laws in varied states, it is possible to form a general definition. A vehicle with a severe manufacturing defect (such as to affect its performance, value or safety) that has required repairing on more than four occasions or any vehicle that is not in working condition for 30 days or more within the first year of purchase, can be termed as a "lemon" and is covered by the lemon law. If you own such a vehicle, you are eligible to file a lawsuit against your car manufacturer. Initially, the manufacturer may try to pull the stunt by saying that in your purchase / lease contract you have wavered the rights by agreeing on a certain clause or may try to persuade you for mediation or even may deny any liability. After receiving the notice of denial of your lemon law claims, let your attorney handle the case. Your lemon law attorney will then write a letter to the car manufacturer and on receiving the reply (mostly a denial) he will file the summons and lodge a lawsuit. A competent lawyer with lemon law background and experience will help you to obtain a replacement or a refund for the disputed vehicle. Moreover, he will make the manufacturer pay the cost incurred by you on repair and legal fees, too. How to find a competent lemon law attorney? Though any attorney can fight a lemon lawsuit, it's wise to go for a specialized one, with say, 20 years of experience in this field. The prior experience of handling the trials or hearing the similar cases enable the lemon law attorney to know the law thoroughly and to understand the concealed motives of the car company. You can find the reference of such lemon law attorneys in the Attorney Directory from the Resources for Attorneys, who also maintain a website. Moreover, you can find a lawyer from the recommendation of a relative / friend or can contact the bar association for a lawyer referral service. Generally, the attorney should not charge for an initial consultation but you are required to keep your chequebook ready for the following phase. Therefore before taking a legal action regarding a defective automobile do not forget to consult a lemon law attorney. The Rapture, A Coming Event; Part 1

By Anthony Smith Daniel 2:44-11:35 To begin with, what is prophecy? It's the study of future events. There are those who think that the rapture has already taken place, and that Jesus has already set up His kingdom on earth. I'm here to show that this type of thinking was the same in Paul's time. Lets look at 2nd Thessalonians, 2:1-5. A letter had been forged in Paul's name and was sent to the Church stating that the rapture had already taken place. 2nd Thes 2:1-5 "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, nether by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you. The church here at Thessalonia was upset, for they relieved a false letter in Paul's name, they were sad because, they thought that they were lost because they believed that the church had already been raptured. What a blow that had to be on these people, waiting on Jesus to return and take them home and then hearing that He had already come and gone. Isn't that what were hearing today? Prophecy has to take specific time lines that were set up by God. There are over 230 prophetic verses in scripture that have to line up and be fulfilled before the rapture can take place. Unless otherwise noted, prophecy must be taken literally to be understood. There are two distinct fazes, listed in scripture, may I say, more than once, The first is the rapture and the second is the glorious appearing. Some reference for these are, Mth. 24:29-31, 25:31-46., Dan 2:35-44., Rev. 19:11-21. Look at John 14:1-3., 2nd Cor. 5:8-10 and Rev 19:1-10, These last three should be read in conjunction with each other. As you've noticed a lot of prophecy times are lined up with each other in one or two single verses. That is the reason we have to look carefully at each verse to see weather there are more than one event taking place. Here are some of the rapture passages listed in scripture. John 1`4:1-3 Phil 4:5 1Tim 6:14, Jude 21, Heb.9:28, and these are just a few. As you can see, God in His wisdom gave us the tools and information to decipher prophecy, and if it was important for God to install these prophecy passages, we should try to understand them. The second coming passages or Glorious Appearing passages are just as long and start from Dan 2:44-45 thru Rev 22:7,12 and 20. This is just the beginning of the study of the rapture and by no means are we even half way thru. Lets look at Daniel and the entire 70 weeks in retrospect. Daniel 9:24-27. 1st we have the Babylonian captivity, Cyrus decree to rebuild Jerusalem, then we have the restoration of 49 years, rebuilding the temple and the city walls under two different men. 1. Ezra and 2. Nehemiah. Next we have the 434 years of silence, or 62 heptads until Messiah shall be cut off but not for Himself. And Jesus crucified, this is 483 years. That leaves 1 heptad or 1 seven year period of tribulation for the Jews, which is called in Jer. 30:3-11, the time of Jacobs trouble. End of 1st Lesson Temple of Spirit & Truth Ministries

When To Consider Alternative Therapies

By Azizah A R As much as Conventional Medicine could not resolve many medical conditions, Alternative or Natural Therapy also does not have the answer for everything. Each has it's own sphere of effectiveness and in certain cases, they overlap. Here are some of my thoughts on when to consider Alternative/Natural Treatments over Conventional Medicine. a) When it's not an emergency situation, when the person's life is not in immediate danger. Many Alternative Therapies requires a period of time for results to appear. In times of life-threatening situations, stay smart and go for the Emergency Room. b) When there is no known solution in Conventional Medicine for that condition or when the doctors cannot figure out what is wrong with you. For example, Mercury poisoning from Dental amalgams - it takes a certain amount of detective work to pinpoint this problem, and it's very likely that you have to be the detective. c) When the alternative or natural solution had proven to work more effectively without side-effects over the Conventional Approach. Yes, you would have to study and compare, then you can make an informed decision. There is so much information available today, so all you have to do is look for it. d) As Preventive Medicine. In this age of much exposure to stress, toxic substances and the consumption of food with low nutritive value, the probability of developing serious medical conditions is heightened. In my opinion, Preventive Medicine is a much better insurance to life-long health. There are numerous Natural Therapies available today to detoxify the body, build up the body's resistance to disease and also to strengthen our emotional health (which has a direct impact on a person's well-being). There is so much that we can do to keep ourselves at optimum performance that it becomes very difficult for disease to set in. So remember, keep an open mind and study the options you have with regards to the medical conditions. I myself, turn to Conventional Medicine when that is the wiser choice. At other times, I use Natural Healing approaches when I know it can help me more. We can be independent-minded but we don't have to be stubborn when our health is jeopardised. What's important is to remain alive and be fully functional, therefore take advantage of the good in each sphere of medicine. Azizah A R has a great thirst for knowledge, particularly in Alternative/Natural Therapies, and loves to share her findings and tips in this fascinating world of Natural Medicine. Hurricanes and Dating

By Lance Winslow If you are into the dating scene and you do online dating as a hobby and a way to kill time while meeting new people then you will be quite upset to learn that the 2006 Atlantic tropical hurricane season could possibly cut the power in your area or region for up to five to six weeks and that means there is no way you can contact anyone over the Internet. Often the cell towers are down and the power is out and you are reduced to food and water until the authorities rebuild power lines, clear roads and fix the water system. Hurricane season can play hell on your dating situation and make things rather tough. But do not despair because if you are with someone during the Atlantic tropical hurricane season then this can also build the long strong bonding relationship. In fact it is widely known that after horrific storm events there are many children who were conceived and nine months later there is a run on the hospital system with new babies being born. This is because hurricanes build relationships between humans and perhaps you can meet your soul mate and live through such adversity as a hurricane and become closer together. I sincerely hope you will consider all this in 2006 and that you will find the right person so you do not have to deal with the dating situation anymore. What To Know About Wilderness Camps

By Samantha Davis There are many kinds of wilderness camps offered throughout the United States, and many of them operate year round. Others operate during late spring, summer and early fall and can be located in warmer climates. Most adventure wilderness camps reach full capacity during summer vacation time, and kids of all ages, from eight year olds to nineteen year olds, enjoy great summer activities and adventures. A wilderness camp is one that takes kids out into the wilderness to experience all that Mother Nature has to offer. Most wilderness camps offer such activities as backpacking, horseback riding, hiking, canoing and mountain climbing. Such activities are closely monitored and require each child to go through some training processes, and are very safe when practiced in the company of a certified camp instructor. Wilderness camps can be found by location or by activity. There are wilderness camps located in every state within the United States, as well as in Canada, Europe and around the globe in such places like Australia, Mongolia and even Tibet. Kids and teenagers around the world benefit from most wilderness camps experiences, and learn about their environment and how to survive in the wilderness. Others go to a wilderness camp for therapy, and psychologists and psychiatrists encourage troubled teens to go to a wilderness camp to find a sense of self and grow in confidence as they learn new skills. There are religious based wilderness camps, which serve as retreats for church youth groups around the country and offer opportunities for kids to appreciate nature as a miraculous and well-balanced system of life. There are also Search and Rescue wilderness camps that teach teens and adults search and rescue methods and training in all kinds of first aid and survival skills that are used and needed when in the wilderness. A wilderness camp can operate in the wintertime as well, and those who attend one during the cold season can expect loads of fun in the shape of skiing, snowboarding and ice or snow climbing. Summer wilderness camps located on coastlines offer snorkeling, surfing and boogie boarding activities, as well as beach Bar-B-Q fun and camp outs. For those wilderness camps located in the mountains, kids can expect to enjoy white water rafting, kayaking and mountain biking activities, as well as fly-fishing, bass fishing or basic mountain climbing activities. Wilderness camps offer many city kids an experience of a lifetime out in the wilderness, where they can see stars at night and enjoy fresh air and sunshine by day. Most wilderness camps are moderately priced, and can be adapted to the skills and needs of your child. Many are within easy driving distance of most major cities. Most wilderness camps have cabins and main dining rooms, though some offer tenting and open fire eating, depending on location and time of year. Wilderness camps offer children of all ages the opportunity to learn to appreciate the great outdoors, and to have a lot of fun in the process. Still looking for the perfect summer camp? Sony Ericsson Z610i Reflective, Effective and Imaginative

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Caitlin_Lucy]Caitlin Lucy Enriching its portfolio with yet another top-quality model, the new Sony Ericsson Z610i, has made Sony Ericsson a cynosure of discussion in the mobile market. This sleek clamshell phone is as much a design icon, as a serious smart phone. Available in three colours- pink, blue and black, the phone has a glossy sleek finish that alludes to a mirror. The impressive external screen is discreet and does not really break the magic, till a call, SMS or calendar event is at a display. A camera lens mounts on the front cover, while the keypad (hidden below) is one of the best in the market. The external camera is of 2 mega pixel and is quite competent. But capturing photos in a dimly lit place would pose a problem, as the phone lacks a flash. Sony Ericsson Z610i also has a video camera and supports video calling to other compatible devices. Further, Dj application allows you to edit the video clips. SE Z610i has an excellent Mp3 player that is compatible to all the popular format. It can also handle Mp3 ringtones. To ensure that you are always surrounded by music, the phone also has a flight mode (where you can continue to listen to the music, even when the reception of the cell is off). Additionally, it has a controlled button for music selection and play. For men who carry their work around, this phone offers 3G connectivity, Blue tooth and USB drag and drop functionality. It has 16 Mbytes of on board memory, and can be further expandable through a memory stick micro card. The phone is definitely packed with the goodness of modern technology. It will be a money's worth for the fashion conscious as well as for a conventional user. [http://www.3mobileshop.co.uk/showphone.asp?id=385]Sony Ericsson Z610i Caitlin Lucy is a Expert Author. Chicago Nursing Home Negligence Attorneys

By Kent Pinkerton Approximately, 1.6 million elderly adults in American are confined to nursing homes. What is so horrifying about this is the fact that out of more or less 17,000 nursing homes in America, 30 percent have been cited for abuse and negligence. People, as they grow older and older, are more susceptible to abuse and neglect. Some old folks are moved into nursing homes to be treated and cared for. Unfortunately, some of them are not given the attention they need and deserve. What is Nursing Home Neglect? Nursing home neglect happens when the person charged with taking care of his resident fails to fulfill his duty. Basically, general neglect happens when the nursing home staff is unable to provide the resident with his basic necessities, such as food and water. This negligence can lead not only to inconveniences, but worse, to health troubles. Nursing home neglect includes physical and medical neglect as well as failure to ensure a resident?s comfort. There are various signs and symptoms of nursing home abuse. Residents who are not cared for properly usually suffer from bruises, lacerations, open wounds, burns, sprains, fractures, dehydration, poor hygiene, bed sores and malnutrition. The residents are forced to live in unsanitary conditions and experience erratic changes in behavior. Hiring Chicago Nursing Home Negligence Attorneys If you suspect nursing home negligence, immediately call the police. Another thing that you must do is to consult a Chicago nursing home negligence attorney. Chicago nursing home negligence attorneys will help you understand your legal standing. The nursing home, its owner and the staff can be held liable for abuse and neglect. To prove their negligence, residents must prove a breach of duty. They must also present evidence that they were injured and maltreated. Remember that nursing home negligence is simply inexcusable. The elderly are entitled to a life free from pain, suffering and neglect. Report signs of neglect immediately to the police and to nursing home neglect attorneys. The Importance of Day Care in the Black Community in the United Kingdom

By Efua Taylor In the past the establishment has always assumed that the Black Community took care of its older members through the extended family. Traditionally the elderly are cared for by the family and the burden is not on the shoulders of one or two members. The Elders are an important respected part of the family group and the community. They are not cast aside to feel worthless. However, in modern day Britain, this is a myth. Family breakdowns can happen in any community. The limited size of family homes; the trend towards children moving away to find work and/or affordable accommodation; youngsters growing up in a Me society with little respect for age, is resulting in more of our Elders living alone. Many of our Elders came over with The Five Year Plan. Many were invited to help rebuild Britain after the war. They came to work as hard as possible, in as many jobs as possible and then to retire back home and start a little business. But times changed, things got harder, taxes and bills higher, health deteriorated and the dream faded further and further away. Some came over as students and for various reasons did not qualify - money running out, trying to work and study at the same time, working all night and trying to attend college during the day, too high expectations, these led to failure; shame and embarrassment prevented them from returning home. Others came as political refugees. Through fear they became cut off from their own communities, not sure who to trust. These people are also likely to have a distrust of officials because of their past experiences. All these groups suffered from the racist attitudes of society and they built a wall of protection around themselves. Their houses, flat, rooms become a cocoon. Within those walls they feel safe. Their only forays out are to work, shopping and maybe church. (It is no coincidence that the Black churches are the fastest growing institutions in the country). Take away work and, if they do not have church or family to rely on, then disintegration begins. Retirement can bring loneliness and isolation and then fear takes over. The cocoon becomes a prison. Gradually people become inward looking. At first social mixing becomes difficult and then impossible. Anyone who invades their space is a threat. In many cases, a shoulder to lean on, a hand to hold or a friend to laugh or cry with could avert the crisis that leads to breakdown. Research carried out by MIND in l987 showed that Afro-Caribbeans are far more likely than other ethnic groups to be compulsorily detained in hospital and three times as likely to be diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia. White people get depressed but African and Caribbean people with the same symptoms are considered mentally ill. There is little evidence that the situation is changed. Patients recovering from breakdown or maintained on medication need support. Research carried out by Dr. Martin Prince and colleagues at Royal Free Hospital indicates that recovery is accelerated more with the support of friends than family. That outside interaction and stimulation is needed. Social Groups, Luncheon Clubs and Centres can prevent breakdowns and self-imposed isolation. The social environment can bring some Elders back from the brink of mental deterioration. A place where the Elders can take part in activities based on their own cultures, relax with people of similar origins, shared memories, backgrounds, and enjoy their own foods, is essential. Those who started as strangers become friends who grow into the missing extended family. At an Age Concern Conference it was said that When you get old you need a reason to get up in the morning All Social Centres and Elders Clubs provide this reason, none more so than those geared to the need and culture of its members. They no longer feel isolated. Their extended family is waiting to greet them each day, to call them when they are sick and visit them when they are in hospital. How can we help? A phone call to a distant relative, an invitation to a meal (not just at Christmas), a card when you are on holiday; all go to making our Elders feel that they are thought of and needed. Of course, donations, however small, can help in keeping these social centres running. If you have a little time, volunteer at a Centre or just smile and greet a neighbour. You would if you were back home so why not here? You will do good and feel good. The Importance of Aerobic Training in Weight Loss

By Gary Cheung It is no secret that regular exercise helps you live for a longer period of time and enhances your well-being. Thirty minutes of daily aerobic exercise will reduce the risk of chronic diseases; sixty minutes of daily aerobic activity prevents weight gain if coupled with a proper balanced diet; ninety minutes (or at least sixty minutes) when coupled with the correct diet will evidently lead to weight loss. The level of exercise must be moderate to vigorous for the entire duration. Aerobic activities often mean longer endurance type exercises such as group fitness classes, running, swimming and even just walking if you do it fast enough to get your heart rate up. You want to loose body fat? Then aerobic activity it the way to do it! Aerobic activities burn up more calories than any other activities and help to raise your metabolism, which then in turn helps you burn more calories faster. Aerobic exercise makes your heart muscles stronger and improves the overall efficiency of your body. Losing weight is achieved by creating a calorie deficit (this means youre expending more calories than youre taking in) so it makes sense that partaking in activities that burn large amounts of calories is vital to shedding (and keeping off) those unwanted pounds. Pending youre eating the right type of foods to allow a calorie deficit to occur, when you exercise enough raise your heart rate your body begins to use stored carbohydrates and fatty acids for energy, which promotes weights loss. Regular Aerobic Activity also increases your VO2 max. VO2 max is a measure of your capacity to generate energy required for endurance activities and is one of the most important factors in determining how long you can exercise for. The better your VO2 max is, the longer you can exercise for which translates to more overall calories burnt and more weight lost. Apart from burning calories, regular aerobic activity improves your overall fitness level, helps control blood pressure, lowers the risk of heart attacks, reduces stress and anxiety, helps build and maintain bones and joints and reduces the risk of falling among older adults. Aerobic activity is important for many aspect of wellness, but is absolutely vital if you want to shed those pounds. If youre currently a sedentary person, seek the advice of your doctor before embarking on any type of fitness program. Gary Cheung is fitness professional in New York City. Hummingbird Feeders Attract Jewels To Your Garden

By Lee Dobbins Hummingbirds are jewel like little birds that brighten up any outdoor area and a great way to attract them is to put hummingbird feeders in your garden. Unlike other bird feeders, hummingbird feeders dispense a liquid diet instead of seeds. You can either purchase or build a hummingbird feeder by yourself; what's important is keeping the hummingbirds safe, happy, and well-fed. Understanding the Diet of Hummingbirds
Before choosing a hummingbird feeder, you need to understand first what it is that hummingbirds love to eat. Although the mixture that hummingbird feeders dispense is a simple combination of water and sugar, this is not the only source of nourishment for hummingbirds. In fact, this is more like a substitute food for hummingbirds only. What they're really interested in eating are spiders and insects. Avoid including commercially produced and sweetened mixtures in your hummingbirds' diet because they may cause serious medical complications for your little friends. Although many people are in the practice of dying mixtures red to increase its attractiveness to hummingbirds, this method is not only unnecessary but potentially dangerous as well. Feed Yourself with a Little History
The first hummingbird feeder that was sold in the market was invented by Boston's Laurence J. Webster. He was primarily motivated to invent such a tool for his spouse, but a feature on a famous magazine gave way to the demand for the public release of Webster's hummingbird feeder in 1950. How to Choose the Right Hummingbird Feeder
Various designs of feeders for hummingbirds are sold both in online and land-based bird specialty shops and general merchandise stores. Material - Hummingbird feeders can be made in glass, ceramic, or plastic. Aesthetics play a huge role in decision making though you should also consider the durability of the material as well. Excessive shaking, force, or pressure can cause glass or ceramic hummingbird feeders to fall while plastic hummingbird feeders are essentially immune to such factors. Bowl or Bottle Shape - Hummingbird feeder bowls are easier to maintain and may have an easier time in attracting hummingbirds because the source of food is visible unlike bottle shaped hummingbird feeders. On the other hand, bottle shaped hummingbird feeders can keep food or nourishment fresh and uncontaminated for a longer time than hummingbird feeder bowls. Assembly and Maintenance - Since you can't very well expect a hummingbird to clean after himself, you'll need to make sure that for one, you're using a hummingbird feeder that you can easily assemble and disassemble whenever necessary. Secondly, it's best that you make use of a hummingbird feeder which is also easy to clean and maintain. Shape and material should be considered in this aspect. Perches - If you are interested in hummingbirds for photographic purposes, you might not desire to have perches as part of hummingbird feeders because they tend to obstruct the view of hummingbirds. Perches however are extremely helpful to hummingbirds since it enables them to feed in comfort and perhaps even rest for a while if they wish to. Where to Place Hummingbird Feeders
Once you've selected the appropriate hummingbird feeder, it's time to determine the best location for it. Your first consideration should be finding a place where it's easily noticeable and accessible for the hummingbirds. Secondly, it must be a place where you can also easily view the hummingbird feeder from the comfort of your home. Don't place a hummingbird feeder near your windows because this may cause them to hit themselves on the glass. If necessary, place paintings or pictures of bigger birds on your windows to prevent them from getting too close and hurting themselves in the process. If you are only interested in feeding and taking care of hummingbirds, you might want to discourage bigger birds from claiming your hummingbird feeder as their territory and consequently prevent them from having a fight with size-challenged hummingbirds. Dos and Don'ts for Hummingbird Feeders and Feeding
Regularly replenish the content of your hummingbird feeder with new stock because hummingbirds are very particular with their food. Clean your hummingbird feeders regularly as well because hummingbirds are averse to contaminated surroundings. Lee Dobbins writes for http://birdfeeders.topicgiant.com where you can learn more about feeding your backyard birds as well as different types of bird feeders like the hummingbird feeder. The Best Anti-Aging Treatments

By Max Suther Queens famous song, Who Wants To Live Forever, is certainly appropriate in todays youth-obsessed age. Billboards, magazines, television commercials and radio ads are constantly bombarding us with new ways to look and feel younger. Although we may not want to actually live forever, most of us would certainly like to look a little younger throughout lifes journey. Fortunately, anti-aging treatments are more widely available now than ever before. Traditional methods such as exercising regularly and eating healthy foods are still very beneficial to slowing the aging process. These should form a part of everyones weekly routine as healthy outward appearances begin within. Weight training helps to restore muscle tone and strengthen the bones. This may prevent osteoporosis and the chance of bone fractures later in life. Healthy food choices ensure our body receives all the necessary vitamins and minerals that are essential to our well being. However, with todays increase in sun exposure, chemical pollution and food additives, we need all the help we can get to fight the signs of aging. Therefore, you may want to consider one of the vast array of anti-aging creams, lotions, pills or drops available. Most large cosmetics companies now offer a line of products specifically targeted to reduce the visible signs of aging. For example, Hydroderm has created a product for reducing wrinkles, another for combating cellulite, and one for restoring the bodys moisture levels. All of these are meant to slow down the inevitable aging process. If you are searching for a more permanent solution, you may want to inquire into plastic surgery or medical procedures such as liposuction, face-lifts or tummy tucks. Less invasive procedures include collagen or Botox injections, chemical peels or laser skin resurfacing. More and more clinics are offering these services, but you need to make sure you go to a qualified professional. We cant stop the aging process, but we can definitely slow it down. Make sure you continue to exercise regularly, make healthy food choices and find a brand of anti-aging products that works well for you. If the saying you are only as old as you feel is true, you just may be able to become 29 again For the best anti wrinkle eye cream, try visiting http://www.hydrodermskincare.com, a popular website that offers anti aging tips, advice and resources to include information on anti aging skin care and Hydroderm anti wrinkle cream. Revitalise Your Mind, Body And Soul In A Place Of Your Choice

By N. Kishore Sahu You always enjoyed holidaying in the Caribbean beaches. Walking on the beaches has been bliss to you. The food, the music and not to forget the culture have mesmerised you. You always thought of making it your second home or to at least celebrate your Christmas vacations there. But this year your son got into college and your budget got into stress. Christmas is approaching and you are getting nostalgic about Caribbean vacations. Dont worry! You can still find yourself in the beautiful beaches of Caribbean islands with CHEAP HOLIDAY LOANS. A holiday loan is a loan meant to cover your holiday expenses. It covers all your expenses right from airline bills to your lodging and eating expenses. It comes at an economical rate than your credit cards and most importantly you can repay your holiday expenses within a set period by paying monthly installments. The advantage of cheap holiday loans over credit cards is their low interest rate and repayment period. Unlike credit cards which take you to a vicious cycle of repayments and revolving credits a holiday loan has a fixed repayment period and lower interest. Due to increase in global tourism many people are choosing foreign destinations for spending holidays. This has made many lenders offer CHEAP HOLIDAY LOANS. The interest rate of such loans depends on various factors like your financial status, your willingness to provide collateral and your credit history. People who are in a position to pledge collateral can get holiday loans at a much lower rate than people who don't have collateral. Even if you have a bad credit history there are lenders who can consider your case and approve a loan. But they charge a little more interest in such cases. To get a holiday loan at lowest possible rate of interest borrowers are advised to compare different holiday loan packages from various lenders and bargain hard for lower interest rates. The Internet can come to your rescue if you want to save your time and money. With Internet you can get access to several lenders and bargain with them. Look for as many loan plans as you can and then pick one of them as per your requirement and preference. The author is a business writer specializing in finance and credit products and has written authoritative articles on the finance industry. He has done his masters in Business Administration and is currently assisting adverse credit holiday loans as a finance specialist.

Devotional Thought - Windows

By Faithe Thomas Dust is a common enemy in Africa. It leaves furniture, floors, and windows covered in a brown film. Nothing escapes its infiltration (except Zip-Lock bags). The mopping and dusting are endless chores. It does not take too long to learn a valuable lesson clean the windows first. Cleaning the windows never crossed my mind when I first arrived in Africa. I would mop and dust and go on with life, but after one of those African horizontal rain storms, I decided the windows badly needed to be cleaned. I dusted the house, mopped the floors, and finally washed the windows. To my surprise more light came through than ever before and I saw dirt and dust I had not seen! My life is the same. If I leave the windows to my soul covered in dust and dirt, I can think the inside is clean when it is not. Hopefully it wont take a storm for me to realize the dirt is there! As I allow God to clean those windows and allow His light to come through, I can see myself as I really am. While that first sight might turn my stomach, God will tenderly enter and clean where I allow Him. And His work will bring joy to my soul! The Psalmist expressed these feelings when he said, My soul cleaves to the dust; revive me according to Thy word...Remove the false way from me and graciously grant me Thy law. (Psalm 119:25,29) ---- Faithe Finley Thomas lived as a missionary in Ghana, West Africa for six years. Her book "Staying in the Breeze" is a thoughtful reflection of some of her experiences. Online Loan - Incorporating Technology in the Loans Process

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Peter_Taylor]Peter Taylor The use of computers was introduced immediately after its launch by loan providers to ease their operations. Internet technology that resulted in the emergence of the online loans was introduced later. Necessity is the mother of invention. The adage aptly holds in case of online loans. Borrowers always suggested a method wherein there participation in the loans process is minimised. Lenders too needed an online loan to lessen their own workload. An online loan came to benefit both the borrower as well as the loan provider. The ease with which online loans resulted into will be best illustrated when compared with the scenario that prevailed before its inception. A borrower was required to be present at the loan providers office for all the documentation. The situation became more troublesome when the period of operation of the loan provider matched the office timings of the individual. This excludes the plight of common borrowers who had to visit several lenders to check their loan offering. There was no other manner in which the borrower would have conducted the search in those days. Most borrowers who could not have borne the inconveniences of the process unwillingly accepted the offers that came to them, with full knowledge that they could have received better deals. The benefit to the loan provider accrues in terms of the decrease that online loans have brought about in the paperwork. Details of each borrower needed to be documented. This would often be too time-consuming. Besides, there was unnecessary wastage of stationery and required the employment of personnel to undertake the job. An online loan saves for the borrowers on all these counts. Details of the borrower are received along with the application form. Duplication of work is made redundant and thus saves time as well as cost incurred by the loan provider. If the cost incurred in arranging an online loan is low for the loan provider, then it will willingly offer the loan at a low cost. [http://www.easyfinance4u.com/secured_personal_loan.html]Online loans have become very popular now. People still hesitate in dealing with a virtual loan provider. There are basically two aspects to this hesitation. Firstly, there is the issue of reliability. People still need a personal bonding with the loan provider before acceding to the loan agreement. To make the process of awarding online loans more personal, some loan providers allow easy access to its representatives. Borrowers can easily consult the experts for getting justification on important issues related to the online loan. The other issue that may affect the borrowers decision to get an online loan is of safety. The online scams that are regularly in news often are behind the vacillating decision. However, most loan providers make more than sufficient endeavour to ensure that the safety of the borrowers information is upheld. The details of the borrowers are stored in a secured server to prevent unauthorised access. The latest encryption technology is used to ensure that borrowers get the maximum security of their data. Borrowers are also wary of the marketing companies that are forwarded their details for undertaking their marketing campaigns. This is expressly prohibited under Data Protection Act of 1998. Relevant bodies have been set up where a borrower can complain about such misuse of the personal information. The delay in approval that most borrowers complained of earlier can be done away with an online loan. The search for matching loan offers starts immediately after the request for online loan is received. When processes are conducted online, they may be conducted simultaneously to lessen the time involved. A faster approval means a faster sanction of the loan amount to be employed instantly to the purpose. Almost every major lending banks and financial institutions in the UK have introduced the online loans. Now every website gives borrowers the option to fill up the application form after studying about the loan provider and the loan they require on the website. An added advantage of the online loans is that borrowers can strike out the inappropriate loan providers by just looking at the information that they provide on the internet. To get a more realistic feel of the structure of the online loan, borrowers can request an online loan quote. The loan quote states the rate of interest, monthly repayments and such other details about the loan. And all of these without incurring any obligation to accept the deals being offered by a particular loan provider. Safety for Construction Workers

By Brian Medini Working in the construction industry can be dangerous. The nature of the work carries risks, and accidents can result in serious injuries or even death. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) law requires employers to provide a work place that is safe and free from hazards. Yet, everyday construction workers face dangers that threaten their health and lives. According to OSHA, each year

A 1000 workers die in construction related accidents
A quarter of a million workers suffer injuries resulting in lost work days
Construction accidents cost the industry $13 billion in workers compensation cost alone

OSHA statistics also show that 90% of the fatalities occur in four categories

Caught between objects
Struck by objects
Electrocution
Falls

These accidents are, therefore, preventable and can be avoided with the proper safety training, precaution, and common sense. Construction work can indeed be dangerous. The line between a near miss and a fatality is thin. Although, the government will enforce safety and health laws and employers have an obligation to provide a safe and healthy workplace, it is still your responsibility, and you owe it to yourself and your loved ones, to stay safe and out of harms way. Government regulators and inspectors cannot be present at construction sites at all times and, due the nature of the construction business, employers cannot guarantee a 100% safe work place. Simple things such as a change in the weather or the momentary inattention of a fellow worker can lead to a dangerous situation in an instant. With the proper safety training, awareness of your rights and responsibilities, and vigilance against hazardous work conditions you can reduce, if not eliminate altogether, your risk of being injured at work. Here are some things you can do.

Take advantage of training programs provided by your employer, your union, and your safety society.
Observe safety rules and regulations at all times.
Know your equipment and use them correctly.
Wear and use the right personal protective equipment at all times.
Use proper barriers and guards always.
Don't take short cuts with fire, electrical, or fall protection safety equipment.
Be sure to crib, block and secure all loads as soon as possible.
Take the time to do the job correctly.
Report unsafe work conditions.
Refuse to work in unsafe conditions.
Watch a free construction safety video online by visiting http://www.osha-slc.gov/SLTC/video/constructionsafety/video.html
Above all, be alert. It's your life and health that is at risk.

If you notice a hazardous situation at work you should bring it to the immediate attention of your employer, your craft steward, or OSHA. To report an emergency, fatality, or imminent life threatening situation to OSHA call 1-800-321-OSHA (6742), TTY 1-877-889-5672. To report other unsafe work conditions contact your local OSHA regional office. You can file a report online or by fax, mail, and telephone. You can request anonymity and OSHA will respect your request. Here are some useful links. File online - http://www.osha.gov/pls/osha7/eComplaintForm.html

Middle East Mobile Marketing

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Ferreira]Joseph Ferreira There's been a lot of hype lately about gaming, advergaming, and the role both play online and in the mobile marketing value chain. Brands can use web based and mobile games for brand awareness, premium content revenue, product placement, and so on. Games can help integrate fun and entertainment into the mobile consumer's experience, driving overall adoption of mobile and brand participation. Online gaming -- a marketing method sometimes referred to as "advergaming. The sheer magnitude of feedback from the contest4uae team suggests this format in online marketing campaigns is catching on in the UAE.
The ads encourage consumer interaction, garnering relatively high click-through and conversion rates in the process. This facility for engaging users has led many companies to develop online games that not only increase brand awareness and recall, but that also can be used in conjunction with online contests and promotions to attract registrations and expand e-mail databases. Instant-win promotions and contests requiring some level of consumer participation are increasingly popular. Again, their purpose goes beyond branding into acquisition and building databases of customers and prospects. These games can take many forms, from a roulette-style wheel spun by the user to determine whether she's got a winning game card to an online drag race in which consumers challenge an automated car for a chance to win a Brands are finding more and more ways to tweak otherwise simple contests and create more interest in them. Kotex, for example, has used an ingenious online game to overcome a natural lack of interest by teenage girls in communicating with the Kimberly-Clark Corporation hygiene brand. Girls can not only win a prize instantly by trying to collect pieces of virtual clothes, but they can also win a grand prize if they manage to become the only person to collect all of the pieces. About 11 percent of girls playing this game return more than 10 times; each visit strengthens their relationship with the Kotex brand. Advergaming is also a great opportunity for integrated marketing efforts. A recent sweepstakes for an apparel company, for example, promoted the apparel company's new "tagless" t-shirt by using a tag as the virtual game piece: "Lifting" it with the mouse revealed the visitor's prize.
New synergies are being created daily as interactive-relationship marketing helps drive consumers beyond the Internet. For example, a supermarket chain has used its online games to drive people to supermarkets to actually buy its products, by offering the chance for customers to print "mystery coupons" off the Internet, which can be redeemed in-store for prizes ranging from 50 cents off to a US$ 1 million jackpot. One marketer specializing in such online instant promotions had noteworthy results with incentive-based online games and contests hosted on contest4uae.com The Development team of contest for uae points out the average instant-win game created by their company receives 2.7 times as many opt-in registrations as a traditional sweepstakes promotion
But while it may cost a brand marketer only a few thousand dollars to develop, launch and execute a simple online sweepstakes, the contest 4 uae team well known for mobile and flash games claim more companies are anteing up to invest the six-figure sums that are required to field a full-blown, highly branded video game online. Such games weren't even a possibility until the very recent advance of Internet-transmission technology. Mobile Gaming catching on in the UAE
Mobile Advergaming
Advergaming basically promotes a product or service throughout the game. Many brands already leverage advergaming in campaigns
Teen Expectations based on a research carried out by the contest4uae and mobile4uae Team
The team, looked at how teens use mobile content and what would make them . The results sugested teenagers expected to be marketed to on their phones, similar to how the Internet, TV, and other media work. In regard to gaming, teens anticipate and expect advertising, special offers, e-mail, and SMS messages advising them of new games, incentives, and ways to rate and share games (viral marketing).
The poll also shows teens are surprised there aren't more games that tie into the brands they recognize (they're actually looking for television and movie references). Teens expect advertising in their gaming experience, particularly if it leads to discounts or incentives.
And one of the main reasons for this is to enjoy using mobile features at a reduced cost. For information on the research report for the uae i.e. Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al ain, Dubai and Umm Al Qaiwain visit contest4uae.com or get in touch with the team at info@contest4uae.com.
How can games be made more economical for consumers? Perhaps the easiest and most talked about method is to subsidize games through advertising. By watching an ad before the game or allowing brand product placement within a game, consumers can download the game at a discount or for free.
Advertising dominates every sphere of our life: the Internet, television, outdoor, online... Ads are everywhere, and mobile is no exception. Ads are being rolled out or trialed in messaging, mobile Web, video, and downloads. As with every other advertising medium, ads will play a role in the mobile channel. It's simply a question of how and when.
What opportunities do games present to the brand? A source of premium content revenue? Maybe. A chance to connect with consumers and build brand awareness on an ongoing basis? Yes. An opportunity to integrate advertising and product placement into games to further expand the message to the consumer? Definitely!
Advergaming presents an opportunity for brands to reach the consumer. If the demographic target like the UAE is ideal and fun is a focus, try offering games as part of your mobile marketing mix. As with other promotional initiatives, The Contest4uae & Mobile4uae Team stresses the goal is for sustained dialogue with consumers via a trusted relationship with their brands. Contest4uae & Mobile4uae ensures consumer protection by requiring a double opt-in for participation, although double opt-in isn't necessary. To maximize the consumer relationship and brand loyalty, contest4uae.com and mobile4uae.com also offers a loyalty or points program for repeat visitors.
