By Allan Holder A family portrait is a great way to commemorate a special occasion such as an anniversary. Because of the enormity of pulling together a project such as a family portrait, family portraits are generally done at times when the whole family is going through an event together, such as for a wedding or anniversary. Here is some more information to help you plan and execute your family portrait: What Kind of Portrait A family photography portrait is a unique anniversary gift in and of itself. However you may want to look into having that family portrait transformed into an oil painting on canvas. While portraits are some of the most personalized anniversary gifts you can give, an oil painting adds the elements of tradition and classical design to the family portrait. Many artists will take a photo and use oil paints to freehand an original oil paintings version. Some may also take the photo and transfer it onto the canvas before paining. Be careful of an artist who must do this, however, as you want to find one with the trained eye and skill necessary to capture the expressions and personalities of each person in the portrait. When to Have it Done Choose to have your portrait done or presented at a special time for your family a time when all of your family will be together in celebration. A 50th wedding anniversary is a milestone that not many couples reach and is a great time to honor the couple with a representation of all their handwork, love and effort over the years as they poured their lives into the family. A personalized anniversary gift is infused with a deeper level of meaning when it includes and efforts of every family member. It is a great idea for a 50th anniversary gift that each family member can take an equal part in and be equally as proud of. It takes a lot to pull a family together for a family portrait, especially if you come from a large family, however, keep in mind that the hassle of organizing and pulling it all together will be well worth the effort when the finish product is presented to the people whose 50th wedding anniversary you are celebrating. What if Not All Family Members Can Get Together A family portrait captures a moment in time that will invoke precious memories of the entire family coming together at one time and in one place, which is a rarity in todays busy world. A personalized anniversary gift, such as a family portrait can be done in more than one way. However, if not all family members can be together for the portrait, it is fine to send in several photos of your family members to your portrait artist. Keep in mind that a family portrait will most likely be a serious investment for any family. However, for a 50th wedding anniversary gift, it may be worth the cost to recognize the couple who has not only made it so far in their marriage, but also to appreciate all theyve done for their family. The family portrait will last for generations to come, creating a keepsake and a legacy for your family. Allan holder is the founder and owner of

From Eden to Paradise
By Patricia Nordman "I have come into my garden..."(Song of Songs 5:1); "Thinking he was the gardener..." (John 20:15). Many gardens are mentioned in Scripture, but four are extraordinary: the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:8); the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36); the Garden of Joseph (John 19:41); and the Garden of Paradise (Revelation 2:7). EDEN tells us of the creation of man in the image of God, a pure and holy genesis of what might have been unbroken fellowship. It also speaks to us of a fall and God's precious promise of lifting up. It was a dark, dark evening for God and man when Adam and Eve were expelled from this beautiful Garden. GETHSEMANE became necessary because of this expulsion. Otherwise, we would all be lost. This is where the agony, the atonement, began. In Eden humans fell. In Gethsemane the divine Savior bent to the ground in the ultimate sorrow. It was to restore the lost ground of Eden that the Deliverer endured the terminal spiritual illness of man. Will we ever understand what He endured and accomplished? THE GARDEN OF JOSEPH tells us of victory. From the cross He went forth to death and seeming defeat; from Joseph's garden He came forth to everlasting life and fulfillment. "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive" 1 Corinthians 15:22. PARADISE tells us of Eden renewed. Sin abounded in and after Eden so grace much more abounds in Paradise (Romans 5:20). It is here that our beloved Jesus will wipe away every tear. "There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" (Revelation 21:4) in our new Eden, our lovely Paradise. Thank You, Father, for being our Gardener! Prenuptial Agreements Are A Premonition Of Divorce
By Sheryl Kurland A weddings mean "Aaaaaah, love is in the air." Or does it? Based on the findings of a recent Harvard Law School study, it may be more apropos for a bride and groom to declare I dont trust you! at the altar than share I dos. The study, which concluded that contrary to popular belief a prenuptial agreement increases the chances of marriage success, attempts to convert the marriage union into a sterile cooperative. The findings of the astute Harvard study go on to say that a prenup is good because it serves as a form of premarital counseling and makes couples talk about financial issues and legal ramifications should the marriage go belly up. This so-called study discovery muddies word definitions. A couple discussing financial issues is developing a financial plan, building a pathway to achieve their joint hopes and dreams. A couple attaching legal ramifications to this exercise is preparing a divorce plan, in anticipation of failure. A prenuptial agreement provides a crevice for each person to keep one foot out the door, cultivating distrust. Neither mate is ever fully dedicated to the marriage. (There are some situations in which a prenuptial agreement is advisable, such as an older couple desiring to marry, both widowed and each owning substantial accumulated assets.) An observation of todays statistics illustrates that prenuptial agreements are driven by fear. According to the National Marriage Project, about 50 percent of first marriages end in divorce, 20 percent by the five-year mark. Around 67 percent of second marriages and 74 percent of third marriages go bust. Its no wonder why couples want paperwork and walk down the wedding aisle with trepidation. However, as is true with most challenges in life, marriage being no exception, attitude is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If at the outset you believe you can achieve a set goal, the chances are high that you will. Think positively, you get a positive outcome. And vice versa. What can be reasonably assumed of a couple who enters matrimony with a distrusting mindset? A prenup is often recommended when a person of affluence marries an individual of modest means. In some ill-fated way, the document is supposed to serve as a guarantee that the individual of lesser worth isnt marrying the rich one for money. A prenup also is often advised when both parties possess great wealth. Again, the legal agreement is meant to serve as assurance against money-mongering. In other words, matrimony is being entered into under the suspicion that either the bride or groom or both are thieves! In the case of a young married couple just setting out in life together, a prenup is illogical because theres usually little, if anything, to split. Home furnishings and kitchen utensils are about all they combine. If the marriage doesnt work, shes not likely to want his brown corduroy couches and matching recliner-chair nor is he likely to grovel for her non-stick pots and pans. Inquiries with several different law firms disclose that attorneys charge an average of $2,000 to $3,000 minimum to draw up a prenuptial agreement, and the fee escalates depending on the amount and complexity of the assets of the individuals. A better investment for an engaged couple might be in marriage education courses, couples retreats, books on marriage, and other venues that will enhance and help solidify their relationship. As evidenced by the current debacle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federaline, prenups dont necessarily fulfill their intention. This pair has a prenup to protect her wealth, yet hes demanding $50 million to relinquish custody of their two children. (The lawyers, again, are fattening their wallets.) Marriage is not a contract. Marriage is intended to be a lifelong journey between two people who love each other and want to experience and explore all life has to offer together. And when the road gets rocky, its not a signal to whip out the prenup. A couple who is truly married has the will and determination and resolve to fix problems and find solutions together. Reap What You Sow
By Julia Jones It is an old saying that you reap what you sow; you get back what you give to others. This is what happens in a relationship. If you give love, care, affection you too will get that in return. If not, then you cannot expect that in return. Love and care in a relationship is not one sided. You cannot expect care unless you show some. We know that love is unconditional but if it is one-sided it does not last for long. If you are not faithful, forgiving, honest and do not show responsibility you definitely do not get it too. Relationship is all about care, affection, forgiveness, responsibility, and honesty. If these things are lacking in your relationship then it is not a perfect relationship. To build a perfect relationship you have to be honest with your partner, have the ability to forgive and share responsibility. A relationship does not last long if there is no emotional attachment between the partners. Emotions work like magnets that hold the partners together. If you care for your lover, are worried about your partner and have respect then it is an indication of emotional attachment and it is necessary for a long lasting relationship. The couples, who are close to each other, feel for each other and at the same time show their love and care. They never face shortcomings in their relationship as they are ready to forgive when any one partner makes a mistake. There relationship never fails as they are responsible towards each other and make every effort to give their best to their partner. Love and romance disappears from your relationship if it lacks honesty and faithfulness. If you or your mate is not honesty with each other then you no longer feel the way you felt in the beginning. That love and romance vanishes like the fragrance from a decayed flower. Always remember that honesty and faithfulness are the base of a relationship. If you are not honest with your spouse then your relationship will not work for long. As sooner or later your partner will come to know about it and will definitely not feel like showing any trust in you. He or she too will not show any honesty towards you. The love that was there disappears and you do not feel romantic about each other. Your relationship turns out to be no more than a deceitful relationship. Always remember you get what you earn. If you are a good human being, are honest and faithful to your partner then your partner too will be same to you. You get back what you put into a relationship. If you accept your partner with all the flaws and love your partner as he or she is then your partner too will overlook your defects and give you all the love and care that is required in a relationship. If any one of the mate finds faults with his or her partner then the other too out of irritation starts doing the same. It is very normal that you are good to those who are good to you. If someone is not good to you then you do not interact much with that person if not behave back in the same bad manner. So this is what happens in a relationship. If you are not good then your partner looses interest in you if he or she is not as rude as you. Combat Frizzy Hair With These Essential Tips
By Michelle Schill Frizzy hair doesn't discriminate. It plagues both the thin and thick haired alike. If your hair has even the slightest wave or curl, it's susceptible to frizz. This article details the six critical things you can do to launch a full-on assault on those unruly frizzies...along with a list of things not to do. INTERNAL FACTORS--Our circulatory systems deliver oxygen and nutrients to hair follicles, which keeps hair growing healthy and strong. Make sure you're getting enough of the nutritional requirements for smooth, shiny locks. These include: Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids, Evening Primrose Oil, Lecithin, Silica, Vitamin B8 (Biotin), Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid), Protein, and Water KEEP IT COOL--I'm lumping 2 cooling techniques into one category here. Both are equally important. Coolness combats frizzies by closing down the cuticle (outer) layer of each hair strand. And of course, heat has the opposite effect, obliterating moisture and amplifying frizz. So cool your hair in these two ways: - A cool rinse (with either just water or vinegar/water) will close down the cuticle and add shine. - After heat styling with a blowdryer, use the cool shot button on your hair dryer to cool down the section you're working with. That will increase the curl or volume you're creating and amplify the shine! SQUEEZE, DON'T RUB--When towel drying your hair, resist rubbing or creating any sort of friction. The best method for drying frizzy hair is to use a hand towel and squeeze the hair up from ends to roots. KEEP IT TRIMMED--Surely you've heard it before, but it warrants repeating...regular trims prevent split ends. It's stressed so often because of the nature of splitting hairs...they continue on up the hair strand, which exacerbates the frizz. And, once the hairs have split, the only way to repair the damage is to cut the hair above the split. So if it's a bounty of smooth curls you desire, trim it up at least every two months. PROTECT IT--Nature's elements can wreak havoc on frizzy hair. Sun, wind, and environmental humidity are the main culprits. Here's what you can do to defend against the harshness of the elements. Humidity Control--Use an anti-humectant pomade to help repel water from the atmosphere. Conversely, too arid of an environment can contribute to frizz by drying out the hair too much. In that case, use a humectant pomade. Aveda makes both...keeps the invisible forces of nature from messin' with your mane. Sun/Wind Protection--Get yourself a stylin' straw hat, bandana, or scarf to shield your hair from the harsh effects of sun and wind. Always cover your hair in tanning beds...just wrap it in a towel. Some styling products contain SPF's, although their effectiveness is debatable. PRODUCTS AND TREATMENTS--Product companies are clamoring for your dollars, continuously launching "new improved" products which promise to quell your frizzies once and for all. Here are some tips for wading through the claims and finding the right products. Try a pre-shampooing treatment like "The Strokes" by LUSH Cosmetics, which sheathes your locks in all manner of goodies like beer, yeast, and olive oil. This treatment is applied before you shampoo so it keeps the cleansing agents from stripping away all the necessary oils from your hair. Conditioning Products--If your hair is on the thick side, use conditioners formulated to "smooth". They'll deposit a friendly film on the hair strands, adding weight and smoothing at the same time. On fine hair, however, the friendly film becomes more of a foe as it can add too much weight. In this case, use a daily conditioner formulated for colored hair. That'll ensure your hair gets some extra moisture, without trading frizz for flatness. Maximize the benefits of your conditioner! Keep a dry face cloth or hand towel nearby and, after shampooing, squeeze all the excess moisture from your hair into the towel. Then apply the conditioner. It'll keep the product from becoming diluted by the water already in your hair, increasing it's effectiveness. Leave-In Conditioners--Ordinarily, the concept of applying a slimy coating on your hair may seem unappealing...when it comes to nixing the frizz, however, slime is the ticket. Not just any slime, though, try Sebastian's "Potion 9" for a leave-in conditioning treatment that'll sooth your frazzled strands and offer just a touch of hold. I'm not sure how the folks at Sebastian will feel about me touting their product as a slime-fix. I really do mean it in the nicest way possible. Styling Products--Here's the truth. There does not exist a styling product that is going to smooth/straighten your hair in the miraculous way demonstrated in the ads. Surely this is not news to you and I'm certain you've got a cupboard full of cast-away "smoothers" to prove it. Cream styling products help condition the hair and silicones can disguise the frizz, but both need to be used in combination with the right styling techniques. Color Glossing--Products like Sebastian ColourShines have a sealing effect on the hair, and dramatically amplify the shine. Great for frizzy hair! If you're not looking to change the color of your hair, go for a clear gloss...same benefits, no commitment. THINGS TO AVOID--Scan the list of "Don'ts" below to make sure you're not unknowingly contributing to the problem. Fine tooth combs and brushes Excessive heat styling Touching hair while it's drying High alcohol content in styling products (firm hold gels and hairsprays) Any sort of friction on the hair Consider yourself armed with sufficient knowledge to challenge the frizz and come out victorious. Combine all of the tips here for best results...and visit my website for detailed information on styling curly hair. Fly Fishing in Yellowstone
By Richard Chapo Despite the media frenzy about Yellowstone being a super volcano, it is still one of the truly beautiful places in the world. Oh, I should probably mention the fly fishing is good as well. As you probably know, Yellowstone National Park has a basic philosophy that underlies everything. The animals and park take precedent over everything. That includes you and me. As a result, you cant just walk up to a body of water and start casting. Nope, there are all kinds of rules and regulations about open season, open and closed areas and so on. The lakes in Yellowstone are not stocked, so the rangers are very particular about people following the rules. The park has general rules regarding fishing which we will cover here. Take note, however, that these change frequently, so make sure to check out the latest news. Regardless, you are going to need a fishing permit. The good news is they are cheap with a 7 day license running $5 and a season permit running a whopping $10. On a more onerous issue, the park has a non-toxic policy towards fishing gear. Anything with lead in it is prohibited. This includes lead weighted ribbon used for nymph fishing. The rivers in Yellowstone are primo fly fishing opportunities. The target fish is trout. The Yellowstone River gets the most pub. You can find cutthroats over 15 inches that will give you a good run for your money. If you are looking for more of a challenge, the Firehole River is the best bet. It is fishable in late May, which is unique in Yellowstone. The only problem is it has thermal springs feeding it in certain places and the fishing is a challenge. Gibbons River offers a chance to rub elbows with other fly casting. It is restricted only to fly fishing, but can get a bit crowded. The fishing is better middle to late summer. When heading to Yellowstone, it is pretty hard to have a bad experience. Even if you arent catching anything, the scenery is so amazing it doesnt really matter. The only way to have a bad time is to get in trouble with the rangers. The fines are large, so make sure you know the rules and comply with them. Rick Chapo is with NomadJournals.com - makers of fly fishing journals. Dating in the 21st Century
By Sonia Fischer Dating in the 21st century is much different than dating was in the previous century. There are many ways to meet people, but with our busy schedules, finding the time to meet your soul mate can be difficult. Dating has evolved over the past few decades to accommodate our fast-paced, high-energy, lifestyles. According to the US Census Bureau, the number of single people 15 years of age and older has increased by at least 1 million annually since 2000. So the number of available singles is increasing in number, but as a single woman, I know it's getting harder and harder to find single guys! Some of the more innovative dating methods used today include online and speed dating. Both reduce the amount of time needed to devote to dating, which is key in society today. With the time limits placed on people by increased hours at the office and time spent on the road sitting in traffic, less time is available to invest in finding a date. So to get around these time limitations, 21st century daters put their social life on the fast track! Online dating starts with finding a website you are comfortable with using. All sites have a couple things in common. Participants are required to fill out a profile, answering basic questions such as age, sex, race, and personal preferences. Some of these include things like smoking and drinking preferences, what you think of as the "perfect" date, hobbies and interests. These surveys allow you to screen out people who don't meet your basic criteria. After the survey is filled out, it's time to post a picture and start searching for someone you might be interested in meeting. Each site has a method of contacting other dating site members, typically via email or an instant messaging system. At this point, the dating turns to the more traditional method of meeting in person, complete with sweaty palms and nervous chatter. Speed dating is a bit different in that the initial meeting is face-to-face instead of from the safety of a computer chair over the Internet. Speed dating typically starts by signing up for a location. The location, date and time are set by the speed dating coordinator. Generally it occurs in a restaurant or bar, somewhere that serves alcohol to soothe the nerves of the participants! Before the dating begins, daters fill out a profile of information and are assigned a number. The "dates" are fast-paced, usually limited to five minutes or less each. In that time, the daters ask each other questions and try to get to know the important facts about the person across the table. When the bell rings, the men (generally) move to another table and the next date is underway. After all daters have been introduced, the formal event ends and people either leave or begin to mingle. The advantage to this method of dating is knowing the basics about everyone in the room and also being immersed in a pool of singles who are also looking to meet someone. This takes a little of the pressure off the daters in the room. At the end of the dating session, the participants give the organizer a list of people they would be interested in meeting again. These lists are compared and contact information given out to participants if both parties are willing to go on a "second" date. At this point it's up to the daters to make further contact and proceed with traditional dating methods. Although times have changed, really the bottom line is the same. We want to meet someone and share our lives with them. Finding time to do this can be difficult, but speed dating and online dating give us an edge. We can meet many potential mates in a short period of time and then it's up to us to follow up with those we are interested in seeing further. If your are interested in dating, but don't have the time to meet someone, consider trying one of these dating methods. The Cheapest Cell Phone Plans
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Daymon_Hoag]Daymon Hoag So you're in the market for a new cell phone plan. You start your cell phone search online to give you an idea on wireless phone service prices. Free cell phones, get a free cell phone, the lowest cell phone rates, compare cell phone rates. Starting to look familiar? Free cell phone offers and low cellular rate plans are indeed enticing, but are they really the cheapest cell phone plans? To say they have the cheapest cell phone service is also to say they know your calling habits. There is more to cell phone rates than cents per minute. Isn't the cheapest cell phone plan the one with the smallest bill at the end of each month? It makes sense to me. So how do you find the best cell phone plan with the lowest cellular rates that will leave you with the cheapest cell phone bill at the end of each month? Cell phone plans come in two forms. Prepaid cell phones, otherwise known as pay as you go cell phone service, and regular monthly cell phone plans. When deciding which is best for you, think about how much you'll use the cellular service each month. Prepaid cell phone plans are great if you will not be using the cell phone very often. If you use a cell phone for emergencies only, you'll benefit from pay as you go since it doesn't cost much to add minutes to your prepaid cell phone and you won't need to top up again for awhile. Monthly cell phone plans are best if you are going to use your cellular service often, since many cell phone services offer unlimited nights and weekends, free mobile to mobile, and a healthy amount of anytime minutes. You can even get a free cell phone with a service agreement. The secret formula to getting the cheapest cell phone plan for you is, usage, plus rates, plus incentives. Incentives being the freebies like free cell phones or free minutes. Find a healthy balance of all three factors, and you'll have your cheapest cell phone plan. Neglected Health Tips
By Brett Nordin There are many places to find a good health tip, whether it is on the internet or in a book. I am going to go over a few different tips that are important, but sometimes neglected. As I say in most of my health and fitness articles, the tips I give are not hard or boring. They will make getting healthy and fit an easy thing to do. You will be surprised. Something that will help you out is adding some kind of fitness into your life. It does not have to be strenuous or tiring by any means. It can be as simple as taking a walk around your block. Adding this into your schedule helps out on so many levels. It gives you a chance to get outside and breathe some fresh air. It helps keep your body active, many different muscle will keep stimulated. Walking outside also gives you a chance to open up your chest and breathe deep. A lot of people that I talk too, that use walking in their daily routine, tell me it not only does wonders for their body, but also for their mind. They say that being outside alone gives them time to think and really clear their mind of stress. Give it a try; with this simple good health tip you will notice a great difference. A pretty self-explanatory good health tip is to stop eating out. I'm not saying that every place that you eat out is unhealthy, but chances are that the majority of them are not good for your health. Usually 'eat out' places tend to use a lot of processed foods and contain tons of salts. If you do find yourself at a fast food place, try and eat one of their healthy alternatives. Now, even the most unhealthy food restaurants will have a couple of healthy choices on their menu. Another tip comes with one simple and common word, water. Yes water; the majority of people, young and old, don't get their daily water requirements. Again, a very simple good health tip that works wonders. Start drinking more water instead of the regular sugary drinks. Examples are coffee, soda, and juice. Of course it is unrealistic to cut these things out of your diet completely but instead try to exchange some of them for water. Somewhere around 8 cups of water a day is a healthy amount. Get in the routine of having water with you. If you have water with you, there is no need to go and buy a liter of soda from the corner store. My last good health tip comes with little explanation. When you eat, please eat slowly. Most people eat like wild animals. Enjoy your food and let your body take it with ease, don't force it all down and let your body have to suffer. You'll notice when you eat slower that you won't be eating as much. Eating slow will give your body a chance to tell you when it is full, instead of eating it all up quickly and your body not having a chance to tell you to stop. Eat slowly, your food will taste better!! Brett Nordin is the proud owner of the blog 'Health and Fitness For Anyone' and is dedicated to revealing his knowledge and information to you. WHAT Dose GSM - Lock & Unlock Mean
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Victor_Epand]Victor Epand The term GSM means - Global System for Mobile Communications. It is the most popular standard for mobile phones in the world. GSM differs significantly from its predecessors in that both signaling and speech channels are Digital call quality, which means that it is considered a second generation (2G) mobile phone system. GSM is an open standard which is currently developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). From the point of view of the consumer, the key advantage of GSM systems has been higher digital voice quality and low cost alternatives to making calls such as text messaging. The advantage for network operators has been the ability to deploy equipment from different vendors because the open standard allows easy inter-operability. Like other cellular standards GSM allows network operators to offer roaming services which mean subscribers can use their phones all over the world. To help you further understand, GSM is simply a standard used by phones to communicate with each other. It is a new standard that has been adopted to all new models of phones and is now so prevailant that it has become the 'norm' in the phone world. Now to answer your other question, with respect to locked and unlocked phones. A phone is locked when it is attached to network. For example if you go to AT&T and purchase a phone from them then that phone is said to be locked unto the AT&T network and as such it cannot work on another network such as SPRINT or NEXTEL. Thus an unlocked phone is a phone that is bought, that is not locked to any network. And as such it can work on any network. The network it will lock unto will depend on the SIM card you put into the phone. For example if you put a AT&T sim in an unlocked phone then it will work on the AT&T network. In the same way if you put a NEXTEL SIM card in an unlocked phone then it will work on the NEXTEL network. However if the phone is locked to a particular network, like say for example AT&T then changing the SIM card in the phone to another SIM card from another network such as NEXTEL will not work. This is because the phone is locked unto to AT&T network and as such will not work on any other network. Yes, you can use the prepaid SIM card on the phone once the phone is either unlocked or on the same network as the SIM card you are going to put into it. It should work just fine. Unfortunatly is isn't possible to have more than one phone on the same line. It is possible to have more to than one phone on the same account, in fact, some providers will allow many many lines on one account. The reason why your unable to do this is that your phone has a ESN (electronic serial number) that assoicated with that line. What this does is allow your network to send the calls to your phone. If there is more then one ESN per line then it will cause problems receiving calls. For example, I had a phone that i wasnt using anymore when i bought a new one, well my old phone was recieving text messages that my new one was supposed to get, but the new one would get all the calls. To resolve the issue that had to erase the programming on the phone. Skirt Styles For Every Shape
By Lakeysha Green Spring is here and as the weather warms, its time to exchange cozy boots and heavy knits for cool airy sandals and chic lightweight skirts. Our bodies come in a variety of beautiful shapes and sizes, with unique features we love to show off, or in some cases cleverly disguise. So whether you are tall, petite, curvy, or thin, here are our top picks of skirt styles to flatter your silhouette during the spring/summer season. Curvy Show off the natural curves of your body in fabrics with good drape in flare cuts, circle skirts and asymmetrical skirts. Styles such as straight skirts and A-lines help to minimize the appearance of full hips and bottom. Pencil skirts are flattering, but avoid versions of this style with hemlines that are very tapered, (narrow at the hem), as this will visually widen your hips. To avoid exaggerating the width of your hips, ensure your skirts have enough ease throughout the hip and thigh so the skirt does not cling, or gather. Also, check for proper construction, such as darts and seaming for the best shape and fit. Thin If you desire skirts that give more shape, look no further. A pencil skirt with a body skimming fit that narrows at the knee will give the appearance of a curvier silhouette. Popular styles such as godets, flare, and pleated skirts will also provide more shape to your silhouette. For a shapelier bottom, look for skirts that skim along the hips and thigh and then flare out for an appealing silhouette. Remember to select cuts and fabrics that add volume and drape well, avoiding skirts that hang shapelessly from the body. Tall & Petite Balancing your vertical height with your body shape is all about the hemlines. The best skirt lengths for petites range from mini to mid calf worn with heels. Shorter hemlines visually elongate your legs, giving your body a more balanced appearance. The best hemlines for tall women are above the knee, just below the knee, or full length. Fitted skirts worn just below the knee shows off long legs, while providing visual balance to the body. Play up long legs this season with a tiered skirt and heels for chic volume, or wear hemlines that stop just above the knee paired with your favourite flats. The seasons styles range from voluminous balloon skirts to daring minis, providing a vast array of colors, textures, and designs to select and wear. When shopping for your favourite styles, remember to pay close attention to cut and fabric drape to ensure the best fit and look for your body type. Arts and Crafts - Easter Craft Idea and Acquiring Crafter's Block
By Brandi Clark Sometimes trying to decide on a craft idea can be extremely frustrating. It seems as though every craft idea has already been thought about and made, and for the most part it has. But sometimes its fun to make a really simple craft project but just put your own spin to it. Easter is a fun time to make crafts. Easter craft ideas can be full of color and whimsy, not to mention that fun Easter Rabbit. Of course, an Easter craft idea usually consists of making an Easter Basket. Well, this is no exception. But once again, add your own spin to the idea and make it your own. Something unique to make an Easter Basket from is a metal bucket. Small metal buckets can be found at most craft stores. Of course, you can decide on the size of the bucket. Take your metal bucket and paint it with your choice of colors. Create your own design and have fun with it. Then you will need embellishments. Various color ribbons are fun to place around the bucket or you may just want one strand of ribbon. Then continue embellishing with flowers, buttons, beads, or even a belt buckle. As for the grass to place in the bucket, one suggestion is to use shredded paper. If you have paper that is straw colored then that may be even better. This would be something a bit different from the Easter grass at the store. Now your Easter Basket could be used for hunting eggs or maybe as a centerpiece for your table. As stated before, sometimes it is rather hard to come up with crafting ideas. Ive been crafting for several years and absolutely love it but there are times that I get what I call crafters block. Yes, its similar to writers block but with crafts. Keep in mind that just because its someone elses craft idea doesnt mean its not your own creation. Its up to you to design it how you wish. 7 Candle Tips You Have To Know
By Nina Williams Beautiful, calm, steady flame If this is not the case, and your candle is smoking, flickering, or burning unevenly, check if it's in a drafty place or if you have an open window somewhere. Vents and any other air currents might cause this. Long burning time Maybe you've noticed that your candle is not burning as long as it's supposed to. Sometimes this is because it's in a drafty place of because the wick is too long. It should be between 1/8 and 1/4 inch. You can trim it with scissors or nail clippers. Using the entire candle If you want to make the most of your candle, there are a few suggestions about their burning time. Keep your candles burning for at least one hour for every inch in diameter. Otherwise, the candle will make a hole down the center, and it will only get bigger every time you re-light it. Thus, a 2" pillar should be burning for about 2 hours, but only until the wax pool approaches the outer edge. Votives are usually smaller, so the first you light them, let them burn for at least 90 minutes. Burn candles in jars for about three hours at a time. Amazing look Have your candles changed their shape? After you extinguish pillar candles, wrap the outer sides of the pillar with your hand and press gently. Don't forget that votive candles will liquify and lose their shape, so if you don't put them in an appropriate holder, all you'll end up with is a puddle of wax all over the place. Your favorite candle lost its color? Don't keep candles in direct sunlight, or under any strong light, for they might fade. Furthermore, the heat might make them lose their shape and distort, especially in case of taper candles. Carefree enjoyment You're afraid that candles might ruin your furniture or crack the glass containers they're in? Don't keep jar candles and votive containers directly on the furniture, put a trivet first, or anything else that's heat resistant and stable. Don't use chipped or cracked containers and extinguish candles when there's about 1/2" left. Also, be sure that the flame is not touching the sides of the container. Clean fun Make sure that your candles will not drip on the furniture, and that you burn pillars on dish shaped heat resistant holders about 2" wider than the candle. Votives require a votive holder. If you blow hard in order to extinguish a candle, you might splatter the hot wax all over. If you don't have a candle snuffer, or a candle dipper, put a finger between the candle and your lip and gently blow at it. Even better, after extinguishing a candle, dip the wick in the wax pool with a pair of tweezers or a toothpick and then straighten it back. It will be easier to light it the next time. Soothing atmosphere Don't forget to enjoy your candles to the fullest. The atmosphere that they create is a precious and unique thing. Light a candle not only during holidays and celebrations, but in every other occasion when you need a little break and some quality time for yourself and your loved ones. The candle flame has that certain "something" that helps us get away from our everyday lives, whether they are hectic, stressful, boring, or just simply hard. It gives us the chance to breathe in deeply, escape all the never ending troubles for a while, and focus on what's really important and valuable in life. Use that chance, do it for yourself! Wedding Anniversary Gift A Family Portrait in Oil
By Allan Holder A wedding anniversary gift, such as family oil portrait, does not have to wait until the married couple is well advanced in years. Instead, a family portrait can be given at any point in the marriage, even as a 10th anniversary gift or a 20th anniversary gift. The oil painting portrait represents a moment in time that will invoke precious memories for years to come. What to Include in the Family Portrait For a couple that is celebrating a 10th anniversary or a 20th anniversary, you may want to consider an oil painting portrait that features the couple themselves, perhaps taken from a favorite snapshot or wedding photo. For a 30th wedding anniversary gift or a 40th wedding anniversary gift, you may want to include more family members in the portrait to depict how the family has grown. Children and grandchildren can be included in the wedding anniversary gift as a celebration of how far the family has come over the years. Another idea would be to use a picture taken on the couples wedding day ad have that transformed into an oil painting from the photo. Benefits of a Family Portrait Some of the benefits of giving a family portrait in oil as a wedding anniversary gift are that is commemorates the milestones a family has walked through to get as far as they have. Also, because a family portrait in oil is a unique gift, you can be sure no one else will be giving the same thing. It takes a lot to pull a family together for a family portrait, especially if you come from a large family, however, keep in mind that the hassle of organizing and pulling it all together will be well worth the effort when the finish product is presented to the people whose wedding anniversary you are celebrating. An oil painting is an important family heirloom that can be passed down through the generations as a commemoration of how the family began and it will always bring to mind the special occasion of the anniversary celebration on which it was given. The Family Portrait Tradition Traditionally, family members would pose for hours on end over a span of days or weeks while an artist rendered their likeness in an oil painting portrait. This is a very time consuming process and is not generally conducive to the busy schedules of modern families. One way to have the benefit of the canvas oil painting without the long hours of posing is to have an oil painting made from a photo. A wedding anniversary gift should be special and should reflect the family unit that was formed from the marriage union of the couple. An oil painting portrait, such as a family oil painting is a unique gift and a way to express the gratitude, pride and respect that you feel for how far the couple as come and what they have accomplished in the lives and in their marriage. A family portrait in oil can be given by friends or family members, such as children or grandchildren or even siblings and parents. Its a timeless and classic wedding anniversary gift that is not confined to a certain point in time. Allan holder is the founder and owner of

Gardening - Growing Cacti At Home
By Michael Russell Cactus is very easy to grow and doesn't require much time to take care or occupy much space in your house. Therefore, this plant is very suitable for modern homes. Collecting cacti has become a popular hobby. Although cactus is an easy-to-grow kind of plant, it doesn't mean that you don't have to take any care of it at all! There are some basic things you should know when growing cacti: Tubs: You should choose tubs which don't retain too much water and the underneath holes should be big enough so that your cacti will not be waterlogged. Moreover, you shouldn't put too much soil into the tubs because substances which are needed for your cacti can flow out when you water. Water: Cacti don't require much water. However, water helps cacti clean, healthy and strong to cope with insects. A good schedule of watering will help a cactus grow well in all its life. You can notice when your cacti need water by observing the dryness of soil in your cacti's tubs. When the it looks very dry, it's the time you should water the cacti. In different seasons, the cacti require different amount sof water. In winter, you should water once a week and in summer, twice a week. However if it rains or the humidity level is high, you don't have to water them. Temperature and light: Cacti need to be in a place which is full of air and light. The most suitable places to put your cacti tubs are on balconies or by windows. In addition, cacti grow the best in temperatures of 15-28oC. You may want to put your cacti in your living room or bedroom for decoration. However, you should bring them back to the sunlight after 2 or 3 days because your they won't grow very well without the help of sunlight. In addition to that, they are flowering, you shouldn't bring them into an air-conditioned room as the flowers will die very quickly. Michael Russell

3 Tips for Creating a Quick Trendy Hair Style
By Sarah H Everyone wants to look the absolute best that they can look, but unfortunately, not everyone has hours to spend fixing their hair. But this does not mean that taking ten minutes to style your hair isnt going to make your hair style look good, in fact, creating quick, trendy and beautiful hairstyles can be done in a very short space of time. Here are three tips on how you can turn ten minutes on your hair look like you spent ten hours on it! Firstly, when really pressed for time, for instance on mornings before rushing off to work, it is not always convenient to wash and blow dry your hair before figuring out how you would like to style it. For folks with long hair, curly or straight, washing hair can take some time, and blow drying hair can take much longer. Well, to avoid having to make difficult decisions like washing out the shampoo from your hair completely or drying your hair completely, try washing hair and blow-drying it until the hair is still only half dried, then add a sprit of a frizz control product (for curly hair) or some styling gel. Run it through your hair with your fingers. By now your hair should be looking messy and big, but thats exactly how you want it to look, because now that you have the right body and the product control in place, it should be easy to wrap you hair in a French roll style or pin up you hair however you want to, leaving bits of hair dangling around your face and neck. This style is perfect for curly hair since it does not look disheveled, but rather elegantly eventful. For straight hair or fine hair, however you choose to pin up you hair is of no consequence but what you will want to do is pin it up as loosely as possible without it undoing itself. Another great way to create a beautiful hairstyle in a very short space of time is by getting a hair cut that you can add a styling product too and scrunch into a defined shape. Layered hair and short cropped hair are the easiest hair cuts to style on the run, since layers make your hair fall into a shape naturally so all youll need to do is add a styling product to keep the layers vibrant, while short cropped hair can be spiked, or smoothed flat and held in place with the aid of a styling product. But the easiest way to create a great trendy hairstyle quickly is to accessorize. Headbands and head scarves are always trendy and they come in flamboyant colors and styles or conservative colors and styles making them extremely versatile for any occasion. And finally, to create a great hairstyle within minutes, long or medium length hair always looks great pulled back. Now while this may seem a bit too school girl for you, you can add some elegance and maturity to a pulled back style like a ponytail just by parting hair to one side and bring it down closer to your forehead letting it fall naturally. This gives more shape to the front of the face and it is a great look for the office where elaborate hairstyles would not be appropriate but simple accents to your hair like hair parting and lightly sweeping bangs would not make you look like a high school librarian. And for after work plans, you can further spice up this hairstyle but adding more volume to the falling hair that you parted by using a hair roller which will also make the hair look more playful. 10 Golden Rules Of Weight Loss (Rules 3-6)
By Scott Magers Rule #3 Exercise is a major factor in keeping your blood sugar in balance, boosting energy levels and enhancing your body's efficiency in storing nutrients into your cells. Take exercise out of the equation and you've eliminated your body's secret weapon for losing weight and improving your heath. Moderate exercise can reverse many of the negative effects of a poor diet. This is not to say that if you exercise you don't need to watch what you eat. Instead, your attitude should be that your goal is to feed your body the proper fuel to prep yourself daily for some physical training. The nice thing about exercising is the more energy you put into it, the more energy you get back. It's that simple. Start by building a base level of training and slowly add some intensity when your body is ready. A balanced meal before training leads to a spectacular workout. A meal out of balance will cause you to feel so sluggish you may not be able to finish. Choose wisely what you eat before you train and just as important what you eat after you train to replace what you burned. With higher intensity training you can actually eat higher glycemic foods after exercising to quickly replace your glycogen or muscle energy for the next day. The body's blood sugar threshold is expanded after a good workout meaning that it's harder to mess up. Early morning training on an empty stomach can actually help you burn fat up to three times more efficiently, however it is important to remember to eat within an hour of waking. Lifting weights puts on lean muscle mass the fastest and therefore increases your metabolism even while you are resting. That means you get to eat more. Putting on an extra 5 pounds of muscle equates to over 200 extra calories burned at rest. That could be just what you need to jumpstart you back into health. Three to five workouts a week are recommended with training sessions lasting from 30 minutes up to one hour. With 24 hours in a day there is no reason not to spend at least 30 minutes strengthening your heart, lungs, muscles and discipline. Make your workouts fun. Variety is the key. Also, its great to train with a friend to stay motivated and reach your goals. Hold each other accountable for showing up on time and putting forth a quality effort. Rule #4 Three meals a day or less are not enough to keep your blood sugar levels in balance. The goal here should be to strive for small balanced, nutrient dense, low glycemic meals eaten every 3-4 hours throughout the day. Usually that comes out to 5 or 6 feedings or grazings a day. Large meals are out if you want the mirror to reflect a healthy image back. On the other side of the coin, skipping meals will slow down your metabolism, drop your blood sugar down to dangerous levels and take you out of hormonal balance. To avoid missing meals I recommend using a high quality meal replacement shake or such as the ones offered by NutriSource International. The meal replacement should include high quality proteins with all 22 amino acids, low glycemic carbohydrates, essential fats, digestive enzymes, vitamins, minerals and be low in sugars. NutriSource International is one of the few companies that does not compromise on their ingredients. An every other meal approach works best. For example breakfast should be a food meal. Three hours later have a meal replacement shake to maintain blood sugar levels. Lunch is next and a food meal is again appropriate. The late afternoon feeding should be a shake, followed ideally by a workout. Your dinner or after workout meal is next and should again consist of a food meal. Your last meal should take place three hours later before bed and a snack or half size meal works best to enhance your sleep quality. Remember to include each of the three macronutrients: proteins, carbs and fats with every meal. Drink plenty of water in between meals and some with them. The right kind of water helps keep you hydrated, transports nutrients and removes excess toxins and wastes. Waiting until you are thirsty is too late. At that point you are operating at 25% beneath your normal capacity. With 60% of your body weight coming from water its one nutrient you must take seriously. One half of your body weight in ounces of water is the ideal hydration level to shoot for daily. We have discovered that a water discovered by Dr. Lee Lorenzen called "Vivo" works best. It uses a special micro-clustered technology that allows more water into your cells assisting with literally thousands of metabolic functions in our body's tissues. It is currently being clinically tested all over the world with studies showing amazing results. Rule #5 Feed the body specifically what it needs and eliminate what it doesn't. What does the body demand daily to stay in optimum health? We discussed the importance of the right balance of macronutrients, (protein, carbohydrates and fats). In addition, there are a total of 92 essential nutrients that one must consume on a daily basis to maintain proper health. Vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and trace elements make up another part of the nutritional puzzle, while water, fiber, enzymes and key adaptogenic herbs from nature round out the rest. On top of what the body needs daily to function is the fact that when we overload ourselves with non-nutritious choices or anti-nutrients our body spends hours trying to discard the excess toxins interfering with our ability to utilize the good foods we are eating. On the one hand, most people are deficient in many nutritional categories while at the same time are filling themselves up with a lot of "empty" calories. With an emphasis on covering the basic essentials and cutting out the junk at the same time we blast up the top of the ladder of well-being with relative ease. Check to make sure you are getting the essentials without polluting the body at the same time. Rule #6 You have to have a plan. Your plan needs to cover what you need, when you need it while fitting into your busy schedule. It has to be easy, practical, effective and complete. It also has to be something you can stick to for the rest of your life without feeling deprived of the foods you love or feeling like you are starving all the time. You must feel the difference and lock your body into a true hormonal balance that maximizes the internal environment for cellular functioning. The body has some amazing powers to heal itself when given the proper nutrients in the proper balances. The combination of the right foods together with the right type of supplementation provides you with a way to master the each of these nutritional rules. The consistency of your new approach will begin to build a momentum with your energy, strength, endurance and recovery. A body in balance that is functioning at its potential creates an abundant flow of life-energy. This energy will continue to expand until you reach a point where your immune system becomes so strong, sickness and disease become ancient memories. The Jewish Wedding Crashers
By Mordechai Welt One of the more popular films of 2005 was the comedy
hit "The Wedding Crashers".
It related the antics of two bachelors who crashed weddings
in the hope of meeting eligible women. Jewish tradition also deals with the issue of unexpected
wedding guests, but of a highly different nature. A brief look at the three types of visitors who
might "crash" a Jewish wedding provides wonderful insight
into the law and lore of Jewish values, as well as a
profound understanding of the Jewish wedding itself. The three unexpected "crashers" include departed souls, the
Creator, and the poor and needy. While conventional texts of Jewish law make almost no
mention of afterlife, according to the Zohar,
the classic work of Jewish mysticism, souls of
departed ancestors may be present at the wedding. It writes: "Even though his (the groom's) father and mother
have departed from this world, they participate in
every 'simcha' (joyous occasion). The Holy One, Blessed Be
He, goes to the Garden of Eden and takes the groom's father
and mother, who are partners with the Creator (in giving
birth to the groom) and brings them along with Him to the
simcha. And all of them are present but the people are
unaware." Other opinions go so far as to say that even the
grandparents and great grandparents are present as well. What's so remarkable about this passage is not only that the
souls of the departed participate in the wedding, but the
Creator, Himself, takes them by the hand, so to speak, and
personally escorts them to the wedding. And, as if this were
not enough, the Creator too is a guest at every wedding! Being the skeptic and rationalist that I am , I never placed
much faith in this idea until the birth of my youngest son,
eleven years ago. Several months before he was born my mother passed away. When we conducted his "brit milah" (circumcision) eight days
after his birth, as is traditionally done, I had the
strangest feeling that my deceased mother was amongst the
celebrants. I can't explain it, but I felt her presence near.
I had never experienced that feeling prior to this event,
nor have I since. But I'm convinced, on that special morning,
she was with us. The third type of Jewish wedding crashers I've become
accustomed to see are more prevalent in Israel than in
America. These are those whom the Kabbalah refers to as
society's "broken vessels". The poor, the hungry, and the
homeless. At my own wedding, twenty six years ago in New York, the
planning of seating arrangements was a major undertaking.
Taking care to make sure that each guest was seated with
the right people, required considerable thought and
sensitivity. Every table and chair was carefully accounted
for. In Israel, where I've lived for the last twenty five years,
weddings are much more informal. Usually there is not reserved seating. Guests tend to sit
wherever they feel comfortable.
It is not uncommon at Israeli weddings for a number of
uninvited guests to also attend. These include the indigent
and the less fortunate members of society. Jewish law is very explicit in it's demands that the wedding
feast is not complete unless such guests are present and
seated. The groom himself must take special care to
personally attend to these guests and show them honor and
appreciation. He must do his utmost to make them feel
welcome. In reward for such behavior the bride and groom are assured
a life of happiness and blessing. Which they most certainly deserve. So the next time you attend a simcha, look for the Jewish
wedding crashers.
These are the departed souls, the Creator, and the poor and
needy. And if you, like I, initially have difficulty finding them,
rest assured that when you witness the hungry and homeless
leaving the wedding hall, their handbags filled with rolls
and overflowing with food... you'll know for certain that

hit "The Wedding Crashers".
These are the departed souls, the Creator, and the poor and
needy. And if you, like I, initially have difficulty finding them,
rest assured that when you witness the hungry and homeless
leaving the wedding hall, their handbags filled with rolls
and overflowing with food... you'll know for certain that
the first two "crashers" are also present. And you will understand why the Creator, who takes
particular pleasure seeing His needy children fed and cared
for (especially by the bride and groom, on this, their
wedding night)personally escorts the souls of the proud,
departed parents, to witness their precious children's
wedding. Mordechai Welt markets handcrafted Israeli jewelry and wedding rings, of exclusive quality at affordable prices. Free shipping on all orders.

Do You Want Cheese With That?
By Donovan Baldwin Back in my retail days, we called it "the upsell". In direct sales and internet marketing, it falls under the heading of "follow-up", although in many guises it can be very similar to the retail "upsell". It's really an effective technique for increasing your income from almost any marketing effort. Most of us run into it in very common questions such as:
Do you want cheese on that?
Would you like to supersize your order?
Would you like an apple pie with that?
The last one has the extra appeal of having another upsell built in. If you agree to order an apple pie, they'll then let you know that you can get two for only a dollar. How many people across the world buy two apple pies when they originally had no intention of even buying one? Now, this seems a little sneaky to some people. If you are simply trying to rake in some dough by shoving a bunch of garbage on top of an order, I agree! However, while you are making money, you can also be improving the customer's buying experience, enhancing their product, and improving your relationship with your customer. Let's take a quick look at your benefits from the upsell or follow-up. Huge chunks of any businesses' advertising dollars goes towards getting the customer to make that first purchase. Overhead, such as electricity, wages, rent, and so on are also part of the costs necessary to make that first sale. Usually, the actual net profit on the sale in terms of a percentage of the price of the product or service, can be extremely low. Additionally, many buyers, particularly in a direct or internet marketing context, can be very leery at first of making more than the smallest of expenditures with this new, unknown distributor. However, once they are, if you will, in the door and reaching for their wallets, anything you add to the order can be almost pure profit. When they upsize your drink at the fast food place for 39 cents, for example, the main costs they really incur for that upsize is the cost of syrup and carbonated water...which is next to nothing! Okay, that sounds a little greedy, doesn't it? Well, not if we are genuinely enhancing the customer's buying experience or product by our upsell. We may have expended a lot of time, effort, and expense to get that customer to buy our internet marketing product, for example. Suppose we also know that they will eventually need or want another product (web design or web hosting services, for example), and offer that to them as well? If we offer it as part of the original sale, it may scare them off, leaving us with no sale at all. Or, trying to include it with the descriptions and specifications of the first product may prove confusing to the customer and cause us to lose the sale simply because they don't understand what each is and does. Or, they may simply WANT the one item! Offering the two together may cause us to lose the sale, because they feel they are being sold something they don't want. How about this? They make a purchase of the first item, and, as we take them through the check out process, before they have completed their purchase, we offer them the opportunity to add the second item (which we know they will eventually need) at a reduced price. We can probably offer the reduced price, because we now have an active sale, and there are really not as many additional costs associated with the sale of the second item. The value of doing the upsell at this time, rather than earlier is that they now have a trust in you and your product. If they have reached the point where they are actually willing to make a purchase, they have crossed a line or barrier which exists until a certain amount of trust has been created. From a strictly technical point of view, the upsell often works here for the same reason that "Do you want cheese with that?" works at the fast food counter. The customer has the cash or credit card in his or her hand and is in a buying mood. At this point, they are more likely to "add something on" to the purchase they have already decided to make. Additionally, most successful internet marketers (and direct marketers as well) find that regular follow up with customers often produces additional sales. Also, since the customer has learned to trust your product and services, the purchases sometimes are larger. Once a condition of trust has been created between you and a customer, you will find it possible to make future sales to that customer with very little additional cost in terms of advertising or overhead. That concept is easy. Just look at successful Avon ladies, and the Book-of-the-Month Club! The author is retired from the Army after 21 years of service. Jewish Online Dating Sites
By Alison Cole There are so many Jewish online dating sites that it would take a new initiate several years to fully try each and every one of them. By doing some research, the job of finding just the right one for you gets a little easier. The largest one, JDate, has become the model for other dating services, Jewish or otherwise. Operating in America with over 300,000 members in six foreign countries, JDate claims to have over 10-percent of the available Jewish singles in its database. Members pay between $15 and $30 a month to post their information on the website and make contact with other Jewish singles. In addition, JDate sponsors frequent social events in the larger metropolitan areas where the concentration of active members guarantees a healthy turnout. For a small fee, members can attend a dinner with drinking and dancing, populated only by other Jewish singles and active members of JDate. Theres no guarantee that the girl or man of your dreams will also be attending, but these services can, at the very least, save you a lot of time and frustration. The main format for Jewish dating sites is the same as most online dating services. You pay a small fee to become a member, post your profile, your phone number and your other pertinent information on the site, and then scroll through the photos of other members in your area who fit your requirements. After that, you are free to contact them by whatever means they prefer and you can talk on the phone, meet and date or whatever suits you. The website plays no role in the relationship after establishing the connection. Jewish Dating Info provides detailed information about Jewish dating services and traditions, Jewish online dating, free Jewish dating, Jewish speed dating, and more. Jewish Dating Info is the sister site of Christian Dating Web. How to Market Online with a Successful Newsletter
By Annalaura Brown So you have decided to write a newsletter or you are thinking about
writing one. What should you do first and once you have one
established where can you go online to market it? The following are some considerations before beginning: 1. Who is your target audience? 2. What are you hoping to accomplish with your newsletter? 3. Are you going to sell advertising in it ? 4. Are you going to write everything in it yourself or include
content from others? 5. How are you going to distribute it? I personally recommend Aweber.
You can sign up for Aweber at http://www.makemoremoneywithaweber.com 6. How often are you going to publish it? 7. Where are you going to offer your subscribers the chance to
subscribe? On your home page or on a separate site? There are no perfect answers to any of the above questions. It all
depends on you. However, once you pick an audience and a general
theme you must stick with it and you must publish on a regular
basis. Here are some good directories where you can list your newsletter

Holidays And Depression
By Justin Meyer Believe it or not, the most stressful time of the year is the winter holidays. Making plans for Christmas and New Years, finding the perfect gifts, crowds, planning meals, making sure that you have a date for New Years, the list of reasons is endless. And in the end, for someone who is already depressed, it is very easy to find yourself much more depressed by life at this time of year. You might give presents and worry that you spent too much, or not enough. You might worry that people dont like the presents that you gave them. Well stop. This is meant to be a time of happiness and joy. It is not a time of stress, and worry. You can find tricks to help you relax through these times. The first is shopping online. Because there are no crowds, you will not have to worry about nervousness. The second is setting limits and feeling good about these limits. Decide how much to spend on people based on how much they spend on you, and how much you like the person. Find things within that limit and dont let yourself get talked into spending any more. Spend some time thinking what you want to buy people and then rest assured that they will like what you get them. As long as you put thought into the gift it will be fine. As for the stress of the family gatherings, the best way to handle these is not with alcohol. You should plan to spend some time doing breathing exercises before you go to the gatherings, and afterwards as well. Since these are times of stress, they generally lead to tense family parties and you might be better off trying to limit your time there. Plan to spend part of your evening with your family but make other plans if you know that it will be unhealthy for you to remain for too long. Weight Loss - Long Term Success Starts In Your Mind
By Jonna Reynolds Making the Decision: Whether you are interested losing ten pounds that you put on in the last 3 months, or the 50 extra pounds youve had with you since college, the first step is making the decision to change. This step is often the most difficult and may take the longest time. Your mind will constantly bounce back and forth, weighing the pros and cons of making that change. It isnt until you have clearly determined that the pros outweigh the cons that you will be ready to commit to change. This isnt to say that there wont be moments of ambivalence, but if you consciously go through this process, you can be ready to counteract your momentary lapses by reviewing the factors that led you to this decision. This will help you to renew your confidence in your decision. To help you to weigh out the pros and cons, answer the following questions. It may help to talk about this out loud with a friend or write it in a journal. First, define your vision by asking yourself: Why do I want this? How will it change my life? Why do I want that change? How will it impact others in my life? How will it feel? What will I enjoy most when I have made this change? Next, think through the alternatives: What would happen if I dont make this change? How would that feel? Is there another solution that would get me what I want? Would that be a better choice for me? If so, how would that feel? Explore the negatives by asking, what will I have to give up? Am I ready to do that? Do I want this enough? Once you are Determined: Mulling over these questions should give you a pretty clear idea of whether or not you truly want to make the change and whether or not you are ready. Having the determination make a change is a good start, but to improve your chance of success, you need to prepare your mind to change. The first step is to define the habits that you will need to change in order to get to your goal. Janice is a divorced single mom who wants to lose thirty pounds so that she feels confident enough to start dating again. She knows that in order to do that, she needs to eat smaller portions, be more physically active, and cut down on sugary snacks and sodas. This is a great place to start. Changing these three habits will start her on her way toward her goals. Changing a Habit or Creating New Ones: Be aware- without beating yourself up. Accepting, realizing that this habit developed in the first place to serve a need. Discover why- what is the need, what is the habit serving? How else can you meet that need?Consciously choose to change- Its more than just making a resolution (we know how those end up). Its deciding for you, why this change is important, what it will mean for you to accomplish, what it will mean if you dont. What are you willing to give up? Are you really ready?Think it through before you act- ask yourself, last time I tried this, why didnt it work? What was wrong with my approach, what got in the way? Identify your obstacles.Strategize- when the urge for the habit strikes, as you know it will, what can you do differently this time? Will that work? If not, what will? What else could get in the way of your good intentions? How can you combat that?Visualize- Believe in yourself, picture yourself as you want to be. Imagine what it will feel like- what will be different. What comforts will you be living without? What new ones will replace them? Is it worth it to you? Live it- Start living today like you are already the person you want to be. Eat like they would eat, think like they would think.Expect setbacks- that is part of the process, this is what makes it work! This is where we learn from our mistakes!Repeat- depending on what you learn from your setback, go back to the appropriate stage of the process. Usually, we go back to strategy to try another technique. Sometimes, it takes reaffirming what we want and why. How to Build a Bird Feeder
By Ross Bainbridge You love feeding the birds. It is fascinating to watch and see what kinds of creatures you can bring to your yard. Now, you want to learn how to build a bird feeder yourself so you can get extra satisfaction from bird watching. Learning how to build a bird feeder is a fun project for the whole family. It can be as complicated or as simple as you want it to be. You can make a bird feeder from pinecones, peanut butter, and seeds. Just spread peanut butter all over the pinecone and roll it in the seeds. You can also make a bird feeder out of milk jugs and bottles. You can also string popcorn and hang it from a tree. Perhaps the most common bird feeder style is the standard wooden bird feeder that looks like a house. While this is a bit more complicated to construct than the other styles, it doesn't require advanced skills. All you need is some wood, something to cut the wood, hammer, and nails. Before you get started, you may want to find a pattern that will help you. You also may want to stain the pieces before you get started. Or you can leave the wood looking natural. You can get your children involved with the tasks that don't involve power tools. For example, after the house is constructed, you can give it to them to decorate. If they are older, you can teach them how to use some of the tools. When you build a bird feeder as a family, it can be a bonding experience. You can either choose a simple style or one that is a little more complicated. If you choose to make a more complicated feeder, involve your children as much as possible without putting their safety in danger. Bird Feeders provides detailed information on Bird Feeders, Humming Bird Feeders, Wooden Bird Feeders, Homemade Bird Feeders and more. Bird Feeders is affiliated with Large Bird Cages.
